Tom at the Farm (French: Tom à la ferme) is a 2013 psychological thriller directed by Xavier Dolan. The film is based on a play written by Michel Marc Bouchard. It was screened in the main competition section at the 70th Venice International Film Festival on 2 September 2013, and also at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival in the Special Presentation section. At Venice the film won the FIPRESCI Prize.
The film was a shortlisted nominee for Best Picture at the 2nd Canadian Screen Awards.

This was fantastic. The second best Dolan film I've seen after "Mommy." It's absolutely riveting and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. For some reason I thought it was going to be a drama. And in some ways it is but the tension is too palpable to not call it a psychological thriller first and foremost. Pierre Yves-Cardinal gives a great and menacing performance.
This was so compulsively watchable that it could have easily been longer. Now I'm kind of bummed that I just have one more film in Dolan's current oeuvre to watch before I'm done.
Can The Criterion Collection please pick up his films so they can get proper US releases? It's crazy to me that none of them have Blu-ray releases in the US. They're just begging for a Criterion boxed set.
