Parts of this really work. I loved the scene involving the casket and the airplane as well as the opening 20 minutes or so where the doctors begin working on Kennedy. But it often feels way too artificial and doesn't really cover much new ground at all - ultimately coming across as rather pointless by the end. The cast is a mixed bag. Billy Bob Thornton, James Badge Dale, Paul Giamatti and Marcia Gay Harden are all great. Jacki Weaver is too over-the-top. Zac Efron and Colin Hanks are respectable enough but are COMPLETELY miscast. Overall, it's just a solid, slight entry into the list of works about the Kennedy assassination, and one that will probably be forgotten about rather quickly too. C+
