While a little too silly at times with several uninteresting, even annoying characters, I still enjoyed this. Josh Lucas and Rachael Taylor, and the dog of course, are very likable leads. It's the supporting characters that can be a bit over-the-top. The beginning was a bit disjointed and it actually didn't even get good until Josh Lucas entered the picture. But then I started to enjoy it. It's a very moving story. Worth a watch. Very, very sad though.

But I didn't bawl through it like
Hachi: A Dog's Tale. Now that was a really great movie and it still annoys me to no end that it didn't get a wide theatrical release. Would have been a hit. My eyes weren't dry through most of the running time of that one.
