Presumed Innocent
Presumed InnocentQuote: Presumed Innocent is a 1990 film adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, which tells the story of a prosecutor charged with the murder of his female colleague and mistress.
Directed by Alan J. Pakula, the film stars Harrison Ford, Brian Dennehy, Raúl Juliá, Bonnie Bedelia, Paul Winfield, and Greta Scacchi. It was the eighth highest grossing film of 1990, grossing $221 million worldwide.
A sequel, Scott Turow's Innocent, was a made-for-TV movie aired as part of TNT's Mystery Movie Night series in December 2011.

Re: Presumed Innocent
They certainly don't make films like this anymore. After this film exploded at the box office (#8 biggest film of 1990, and to this day the biggest court film OS) the courtroom thriller genre saw it's golden era with many classics like The Client, A Few Good Men, A Time to Kill, and of course the Firm. However, I still think this one might be the best of the bunch. Ford gives one of his best performances and headlines a even more impressive supporting characters, particularly the Raul Julia, Bonnie Bedelia, and Paul Winfield.
I had never read the book, but this film is intense from start to finish, And the fake ending had me in shock, as did the final twist.
A+
