Re: Blast of Silence I rented it from my university's non-print library on a whim. Definitely a small, but potent gem. Cold, direct, gripping. I love the idea of a noir style hit man story unfolding in the city during Christmastime. The chance to see extended, atmospheric shots of NYC of the late fifties, early sixties is a bonus delight.
