 Shade Shade Quote: Shade is a 2003 neo-noir crime drama starring Stuart Townsend, Gabriel Byrne, Thandie Newton, Jamie Foxx, Roger Guenveur Smith, Melanie Griffith and Sylvester Stallone. The film follows a trio of grifters who attempt to set up a legendary card sharp nicknamed "The Dean". The film is a complex web of interwoven and branching scenes and flashbacks.

Re: Shade I really enjoyed this movie. Not quite to Rounders levels, but still very fun overall. Stallone and the rest of the cast were very good. A-

Rounders was very good, but I preferred this overall. It's cool, and it knows what it wants to achieve. Stallone is perfect as the "retired gunfighter", and this is the movie where I really started to like Stuart Townsend. I hated Gabriel Byrne and Jamie Foxx too, which is what the film wanted, so it worked very well. Thandie Newton is hot in it.
