 Beyond a Reasonable Doubt Beyond a Reasonable Doubt Quote: Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, a 2009 American film, is a remake of the 1956 film of the same name by Fritz Lang. Written, directed and filmed by Peter Hyams, the new version starred Jesse Metcalfe, Michael Douglas and Amber Tamblyn. The production was announced in February 2008 and filming began the following month.

This is a good movie, actually. But it does have a feel of a TV movie at times. The story is great. I certainly didn't see the twists coming (and the last one was great), and besides Jesse Metcalfe's unappealing performance, the rest is just fine. Michael Douglas is great, but I wanted to see more of him. The bad guys are all caught in the end and Amber Tamblyn is gorgeous.
I was well into this movie and it delivered more than I expected. I did not waste my time. It's nothing spectacular, but it does entertain.
