Re: What to Expect When You're Expecting
I didn't hate this as much as I expected to. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but it's the best I can musters
Actually there is quite a bit to like here. I liked the men's stroller group, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, and the Decker/Quaid subplot. But just like with everything else they're in, Diaz and Lopez just torpedo the movie. Someone needs to wake up Diaz and tell her that she isn't funny and Lopez is just an annoying shrill of a human being who can't act for shit. Kendrick and Banks just do laps around them, and the film could've benefited from featuring them more, especially Kendrick. She's underused and her storyline took too long to play out (too long because the audience is miles ahead of the film and knows how her relationship will be resolved). I also thought all of the storylines could've coalesced in a more fulfilling way at the end.

Definitely needed more Kendrick. My favorites were her, Banks, and Rebel Wilson. I thought the movie was passable.
