Post Re: Guide
My favorite of the Bollywood movies I've seen so far. Both a really charismatic/entertaining story anchored by my favorite Indian actor I've seen in Anand, while also being a cynical punch in the nuts under the surface. Probably the most intriguing I've seen thematically because I'm not sure whether it's more critical of people who let modernness manipulate them, or on the other end of the spectrum, foolish enough to believe you can act like it doesn't exist. Either way there's a good chance you get fucked up I guess. Director has major balls to both take a dump on ideals from that perspective, and to show an affair with a married woman + show the evaporation of a love relationship after the supposed happy ending. Cuttin it like a knife!
