Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the PoohQuote: Winnie the Pooh is a 2011 American film inspired by three A. A. Milne stories. The film is a continuation of Disney's Winnie the Pooh franchise, and it marks the first time a Winnie the Pooh film has hit theaters since the 2005 film Pooh's Heffalump Movie. In the film, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Eeyore, Kanga, and Roo embark on a quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. The film is directed by Stephen Anderson and Don Hall, written by A. A. Milne and Burny Mattinson, produced by Peter Del Vecho, Clark Spencer, John Lasseter, and Craig Sost, and narrated by John Cleese.
The film was distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and was released on April 15, 2011 in the UK, and on July 15, 2011 in the United States. Production for the film began in September 2009 with John Lasseter announcing that they wanted to create a film that would "transcend generations." The film also features six songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, as well as a rendition of the "Winnie the Pooh" theme song by actress and musician Zooey Deschanel. The movie is preceded by an animated short called The Ballad of Nessie about a friendly Loch Ness Monster named Nessie and how she and her best friend MacQuack, the rubber duck, came to live in the moor they now call home. In some international screenings, the episode "Cubby's Goldfish" from the Disney Junior series Jake and the Never Land Pirates appears.

Re: Winnie the Pooh
Even without prior any prior Pooh Bear experiences I can't imagine anyone not liking this film. Perfectly pleasant all the way through with very defined characters.

Re: Winnie the Pooh
Short and sweet. Definitely enjoyed it. The music from Zooey Deschanel and M Ward was a very nice touch that made it even more enjoyable.

Re: Winnie the Pooh
The newest addition to the Pooh collection is just a good ol’ fun adventure. It is nothing more than a good escape and it should have been longer. **1/2

Re: Winnie the Pooh
Really funny. The plot is disposable like all Pooh stories, it’s really just a vessel to show off still classic characters. Animation is superb. Too bad this was the last 2D film. Hopefully they make more.
