 Re: Monte Carlo
Monte Carlo has so many charming assets that it's hard to keep abreast of them all.
Seriously... the three actresses give warm, funny, and authentic leading performances, suitably framed with nondescript sexy men as needed. There's also plenty of fun in the script here, but there's one glaring problem: the direction. It's all over the place. This film needed heaps more style and pop - - it needed to be helmed by a director with some auteur-ity.
Matter of fact, I'd still like to see that movie...
Yep, I want the first instant reboot!
Get the same actors, right now - - but get a real director to do Monte Carlo up right!
Still, I enjoyed the schmozzle that is this first version, but I can't wait to see next year's breakthrough re-vision-ing!
4 out of 5.

 Re: Monte Carlo
How else do you expect them to get roles?

 Re: Monte Carlo
Really cute and fun. I liked all of the girls, especially Leighton Meester. And Pierre Boulanger as Theo was just gorgeous . 7/10 ( B )
