The Education of Charlie Banks follows Charlie Banks (Jesse Eisenberg) and his bud Danny (Chris Marquette) as one of Danny's old buddies from high school, Mich (Jason Ritter) makes a visit to their college though its a conflict between Charlie and Mich in the past that has Charlie worried about the visit. The hope in Charlie's mind is that Mich changes some of his ways of the past but some suspicions arise throughout his rather long visit. Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Ritter are the two highlights of the film along with some notable moments from the rest of the main cast. There are points throughout the film however that seem a bit awkward and out of place. The plot is rich however and its a good first outing for director Fred Durst (yes the lead man of Limp Biskit). **1/2
