 Re: The Mutant Chronicles
The main review for this on IMDB describes it as one long video game cut scene and you know its pretty dead on.
You get the enemies from Dead Space ripped off exactly, the main story riffing off Resistance and the intro as a Ron Perlman narrated Fallout 3 type thing.
But Ron does not stop there, oh no any chance he gets he waffles on with big self important speeches, you feel the rest of the characters rolling their eyes and going awwww fuck Ron is at it again.
The CGI is Sky Captainy and rather shoddy but hey its low budget I can accept that, the opening battle is like I was watching the masturbating dreams of a steampunk fan fed through a World War 1 re-inactment, hell they even have a Mustard Gas bit!
Oh and the dialogue is pure gold, cheesy as hell and memorable they need to get the script online pronto so I can read every jewel encrusted line over. My fave?
I'm not paid to believe, I'm paid to fuck shit up!
But the single best bit is Perlman and John Malkovich as Monks speaking IN IRISH!!! Talk about random.
Trash like this gives trash a good name and I loved it.

 Re: The Mutant Chronicles
Haha, i saw this down at Comic-Con this past summer! It was your average B movie action/thriller. I thought Jane and Pearlman did fine, but the movie really never went anywhere new. I remember it had some awesome color pallets, but heard they were going to edit some of the vibrant colors out in the final version.
Anyhoo, if i were to grade it, it would be a C+/B-
