Re: Hollywood Ending I should rent this. I have enjoyed a lot of Allen's more recent films and I like Debra Messing (though she only has a small role). Anyone here see it?

Re: Hollywood Ending I saw it when it was new. Wasn't a huge fan, and I'm an Allen apologist. There's laughs to be had, sure, but it's forgettable and kind of...creaky. Better than The Curse of the Jade Scorpion, but far worse than Small Time Crooks and Anything Else. And certainly nowhere near Match Point or Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
I wouldn't recommend not seeing it, but I wince at the idea of anyone (you, in this case, lol) seeking it out before the likes of Zelig or Broadway Danny Rose or Crimes and Misdemeanors or Deconstructing Harry.
