Quote:
The Apartment is a 1960 comedy-drama film produced and directed by Billy Wilder, and starring Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, and Fred MacMurray. It was Wilder's follow up to the enormously popular Some Like It Hot and was an equal commercial and critical hit, grossing $25 million dollars at the box office, and winning the Academy Award for Best Picture.

It was later adapted by Neil Simon, Burt Bacharach and Hal David into the Broadway musical Promises, Promises.

Great or Must-See or A.

That is all that needs to be said.

Also for a great Jack Lemmon triple header.

See

The Apartment and Days of Wine and Roses and Mister Roberts.

Which I do prefer over Some Like it Hot or The Odd Couple.

For me, just the interaction and great acting between the 3 and such emotional high and lows in this movie.

Jack Lemmon ... C.C. 'Bud' Baxter
Shirley MacLaine ... Fran Kubelik
Fred MacMurray ... Jeff D. Sheldrake

Does any film switch from comedy to tragedy and back as flawlessly as this? I don't think so.

Of course you would agree with a guy who just copy and pastes IMDb.
