 Android Apocalypse
Android Apocalypse Quote: Android Apocalypse, also known as Facing Extinction, is a 2006 science fiction film starring Scott Bairstow and Joseph Lawrence. The film was written by Karl Schiffman and directed by Paul Ziller for Sci Fi Channel as a television film. It is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth that is ruled by androids, and explores the relationship between a human, Jute (Bairstow), and an android, DeeCee (Lawrence) who is beginning to develop emotions.

Somewhere in the dark bowels of Hollywood there lurks deformed men plotting ways to cheapen the movie making process. The story of Android Apocalypse probably went something like this.
Evil Executive 1: The Movie going public are becoming more savvy with each passing day
Evil Executive 2: Yes their tolerance for Cinematic Shit is hardening.
Evil Executive 1: If only there was a segment of the movie going market so stupid they'll watch anything in a particular genre.
Evil Executive 2: The Urban Movie Crowd?
Evil Executive 1: No even they might balk at Big Momma's House 6.
Evil Executive 2: The Apocalypse crowd?
Evil Executive 1: Brilliant those dumb fools will watch anything with Apocalypse in the title/story.
Evil Executive 2: And to cut down on getting decent actors we'll make the story about Androids so the stiff acting becomes an actual plot necessity.
Evil Executive 1: Genius!! Now lets go get some Coke and Cheap Mexican Hookers an celebrate our ingenuity.
Thankfully people like me are rare in todays world so Android Apocalypse is DTV all the way, however this doesn't mean its immediately bad, i've enjoyed a variety of DTV Apocalypse movies in my time pity this ain't one of them.
Do I even need to outline the plot?
World Overused blah blah blah Humans Retreat to Domed Cities blah blah blah Create Android to do work and mine the deserts blah blah blah Ominous stuff might happen ad infinitum.
I should also point out that WWE wrestler Chris Jericho makes an appearance in this for a sum total of about 10 minutes and still is the best actor in the whole entire mess, yes its frightening but true.
The main plot follows an Android and Human prisoner shackled together in a prison transport escaping and having to work together to avoid death from pursuing authorities and rogue flying machines that look like bad Sentinel rejects from the Matrix.
The guy playing the main Android is horrendously bad, i swear an old ZX Spectrum could do a better job in the emotion/depth department and the budget of the movie seems to have been 6 dollars some gaffer tape and a few screws. This shouldn't stop it from being engaging but the Max Max rip-offs abound ever bloody minute.
Dune Buggy's: Check
Old Industrial Building passing as City ruins: Check
Main female character dressed in black: Check (althou she was pretty hot in a strange way)
Main villain camper then the pitching field at a music festival: Check
I seriously question my love of this genre sometimes, am i mad?
Only thing is movie has going for it is the unintentional humour that pops up at points other then that avoid.
