Even with such a low opening, Hoot is still performing like a kid movie. Sometimes the daily numbers of very low grossing movies could be distorted because their averages couldn't drop any lower. Apparently not for Hoot. A $57 PTA (around 10 kids a theater) on the fourth day of release just blows my mind.

I'm still baffled that this got over 2,500 theaters, let alone 3,000. It's not like New Line couldn't have seen this one coming.
