Quote:
Collateral Damage is a 2002 American action film that tells the story of a Los Angeles firefighter, Gordon Brewer (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger), who looks to avenge his son's and wife's deaths at the hands of a guerrilla commando, by traveling to Colombia and facing his family's killers.

Really good action film.

Zingaling, you cannot be serious.

This was one of the least exciting "action" movies I've ever seen.

It's a film that is surlely one of Schwarzenegger's more mature films, and while its never great, its a good story if somewhat generic.

Turturo and Liguizamo have fun little roles and Schwarzenegger, while more layed back this time going for more realism, is never boring. It's obvious why Schwarzenegger never went the same DTV route of Segal, Van Dam, and even unfortunately Stallone.

Very much unexciting and far too generic, this is one of Schwarzenegger's worst films. I didn't really like The 6th Day, but this follow-up to it was even worse. Thank God he rebounded somewhat with T3 before leaving the biz.

More of a thriller than an action movie. It was okay but I too liked The 6th Day more.

Cartoon characters and lame action. The worst of two worlds.

It's like the most stuffy, boring man on the planet decided to make an action movie. And he made it with a guy who LOVED action movies when he was growing up, but doesn't have any talent in him whatsoever. We're supposed to care about Arnold because he's a fireman. Then we're supposed to care about his family because his son smiles a lot before he gets blown up. Then the rest is bad action movie cliches. And shouldn't the "twist" have more impact? I didn't care at all when the double-cross happened.

The only good action sequence ends with Arnold swimming against the current trying to avoid a WATERFALL. Yes, Arnold became Sylvester the Cat. At least it was funny. Just not intentionally so.

I remember basically nothing about this, except maybe there was a kill scene involving an axe? That's about all I got.

Murder by putting a snake down someones throat was pretty ridiculous and unsettling the first time I saw it.

And a Tyson ear bite. This film is still leagues above the crap Stallone, Segal, and Van Damme did during the time.

Yeah, but that's like saying Jack Nicholson is a better actor than Tom Green, David Arquette and Freddy Prinze Jr.

It was decent enough to watch for an hour and a half, but I already have forgotten most of the movie. I can't remember if trix is right about the axe, or if he's thinking of Jack Bauer in 24.

No, it was a better than average axe kill, but even here, the film still feels tame (Perhaps early Arnold softening for political reasons)
