Y'know what? It certainly wasn't high-quality entertainment by any means (the director pretty much sucks at staging a scene, camera angles, etc), but it had this endearing energy that I definitely appreciated. That and I was actually surprised by how much natural charisma Usher lent towards the role. He's not going to be another Will Smith or anything but I have to say he's a lot more Mos Def or LL Cool J then he is Ja Rule or Busta Rhymes. That and he displayed some suprisingly strong charisma with Emmanuelle Chriqui, who is one of the more beautiful women I had never heard of until tonight. The script was a bit clunky, but the movie managed to move between genres a lot smoother then I was anticipating. B-

Emanuelle Chriqui is a hottie.
Oh, and the film is not that bad, but not much good about it, either. C
It certainly doesn't deserve to be #2 on IMDB's Top 100 Worst List.

Everytime I think the boy is on the verge of taking the next step toward becoming a more well rounded movie fan he goes and sees something that I just scratch my head over, too.
Zingy, there is a world full of more rewarding stuff out there. Not all of it's good, but that goes for any genre.

I had a better time watching In the Mix rather then when I was watching either of those two films. Yeah they were both better but still...
