 Conan the Destroyer Conan the Destroyer Quote: Conan the Destroyer is a 1984 film directed by action/fantasy veteran Richard Fleischer (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Vikings). It is the sequel to Conan the Barbarian, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mako returning to resume their roles as Conan and Akiro the wizard, respectively. New characters include Zula, played by Grace Jones; and Bombaata, played by Wilt Chamberlain. This sequel was moderately successful at the box office in the US, and very successful internationally, although critical response was not as strong as the original film.

wow, that was quick lol.....
anyways, this one was a lot more toned down than the original. the first was, at times, brutally violent. this one is aimed more for younger v iewers but still has some great action sequences and is downright fun.

Brilliant movie. Not quite at the heights of the 1982 original, but still a wonderful watch. Arnold was conceived to play Conan.

Re: Conan the Destroyer The first film was very gritty and awesome. The 2nd along with films like Krull just didn't get it. It should have been played for laughs though, the film suffers whenever they go too much into it. Some of the action and Arnold and Mako save this film, and that one girl is beautiful.
