 Gothika Gothika Quote: Gothika, a 2003 horror / supernatural thriller movie directed by Mathieu Kassovitz and written by Sebastian Gutierrez, is the story of a psychiatrist (played by Halle Berry) in a women's prison who wakes up one day to find herself on the other side of the bars, accused of having murdered her husband.
The film was first released on 13 November 2003 in the USA and later in 2004 outside of the USA.

Dark Castle's best effort to date, Gothika s actually a good chiller for most of the running time. That excludes the stupid twist and the fina 15 minutes of it. Halle Berry delivers a decent performance, though.

Typical bland horror. One among the many bad Berry post-Oscar films. I probably wouldn't bother commentating on this if I wasn't testing the post count thing.

Re: Gothika Rather creepy for awhile, but it goes off the rails in the last act and ends pretty lamely. It's not bad, though.
