Daddy Day Camp
Daddy Day CampQuote: Daddy Day Camp is a 2007 American family comedy film directed by Fred Savage in his feature film directing debut. The sequel to Daddy Day Care (2003), all returning characters were recast, with Academy Award-winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. assuming the lead role of Charlie Hinton, whom was originally portrayed by Eddie Murphy. The film was produced by Revolution Studios and released by TriStar Pictures. Reviews were almost universally panning the film's potty humor and mature content.

Re: Daddy Day Camp
Actually wasn't too bad. Far more entertaining than Skinwalkers. Contains some funny lines ("Dad, why do I have to go to camp? I'd rather be at home watching nudie movies on cable") and decent performances. Cuba is an adequate replacement for Eddie Murphy although Lochlyn Munro is nondescript taking over for the far more dynamic Jeff Garlin. Richard Gant does a nice job as Cuba's Drill Sergeant father. Decent feature directorial debut for former child actor Fred Savage.
Grade - C+

I will never, ever see this movie. I loathed the first film, and this looks worse - if that is even possible. I'm glad you enjoyed it though Joe

Re: Daddy Day Camp
Give it some slack, it is a film not meant for people over the age of ten and is this guy's debut.

Re: Daddy Day Camp
Honestly, I feel bad for Fred Savage. Once in a while he gets decent work as an actor, but I wouldn't doubt he's desperate for his first big break as a director. And a lot of young guys have to make a shit movie for a big studio to get their name out there. And there wasn't much he could do to change the movie anyway...

Don't ask me why I saw this (I certainly didn't do it of my own free will), but I did. It is absolutely atrocious and plays like a bad Nickelodeon movie, and I absolutely LOATHE Nickelodeon. It's painfully unfunny and horribly cliche. The biggest problem is its length: it's about 93 minutes too long.
