Since there seems to be....some comparasion between these 3 films...(Although I dont understand) Which movie do you guys(and gals :wink: ) this is best, scariest, most well made...ect

1. The Grude- It might of got worse reviews than The Ring, but it didn't drag in parts, and become boring like The Ring did. It had fantastic pacing, and I like the style a lot better than what The Ring had to offer.

2. The Ring- Great story, great characters, creepy, but the pacing is lacking, and it picks up eventually, but too late. I still like it though, just like The Grudge better.

White Noise I haven't seen yet, but I plan to when it arrives at the dollar theatre.

I did enjoy The Grudge a little, it just was a weak film. I'll probaly rent White Noise or something.

How did you find The Grudge weak? I found it to not only be very entertaining, but better than The Ring.

I see what he is saying...I gave Grudge a B+...almost an A, and Ring an A. Grudge was sorta weak, in the sense it copied a little to much from the Ring, plus the Ring had a MUCH better storyline. Although Grudge freaked me the fuck out, there was really no story

I loved both of them though, and they put that filthy piece of shit "white noise" to shame

Yep. The Ring did have a much better storyline than The Grudge, and The Ring was more entertaining for me. Plus, Naomi Watts gave a pretty strong performance. I like Gellar, but her performance wasn't anything special.

Thats almost exactly how I rated the movies. The ring was a sure fire classic to me, and the grudge was creepy....just lacked a really good storyline. White noise however was so far from being good its sad. I was really anticipating this movie too :???:

Grudge wasnt weak, but it wasnt strong enough for what i was expecting, not a very good mvoie, probably the worst of last year (that i saw), i give it a C, used to be a B+, so its gone down hill.

The Ring: A- -- One of my all-time favorite horror films (second only to Scream). Scary, disturbing, and very well made.

The Grudge: C- -- One of the worst horror films of recent memory. Terrible writing, abysmal pacing, bad acting, confusing plot, and one of the most confusing endings of recent memory. Add to that the fact that it completely rips-off certain other well-known and infinately better horror movies, and it barely rates as a C-

White Noice -- Seeing it today or Wednesday.

The thing about The Grudge and White Noise is it relied on the jump scare tactic to startle viewers. It gets tiring after awhile but The Grudge seems to go on and on with its jump scare/false scare tactic

The Ring was brilliant, The Grudge sucked, and from what I've heard, White Nouse is not even worth two hours.

I haven't gotten a chance to see White Noise yet, but I want to because it looks interesting. If it's anything like The Ring and The Grudge though, I will pass. I gave both of those movies a C-. Both were well made films, but weren't scary at all. The only thing The Ring has over The Grudge was that it didn't become laugh inducing during the final 30 minutes.

If you didn't like either The Grudge or The Ring it is unlikely you will enjoy White Noise. I hated The Grudge, but The Ring is my #2 horror film of all time. I gave White Noise a B, as I found it very good, but it did rely a bit too much on the "jump scenes" to deliver the scares.

The Grudge was terrfying IMO, i didnt sleep for two nights. The Ring also had a long term disturbing effect, but generally i think audiences in my area found The Grudge terrifying.
