Entertainment Weekly actually guessed really well.

Well, I meant one of the BEST for 2005 so far, but I think this movie deserved to open with alot more and shocks me that movies like the much overrated and laughable, "The Ring" and "The Grudge" make 40 Million dollars in 1 weekend off the goofy premises they have VS a movie that's an actual fact based study known worldwide with EVP's and the concept of the movie in itself.. It didn't try to copy those other 2 films to drag the teens into and strictly be catered to only and I loved this movie.. It was FANTASTIC and I've seen it twice now.. Definitely a keeper when it comes out on DVD.. As for my weekend prediction?? Like I said, I feel this movie should've opened on more screens and if so, would've made alot more than it did and for the lame, internet slacker film critic wannabes who shit on this movie moreso for not embracing the subject matter more than the film itself and for predicting an 8-10 Million opening, I feel vindicated somewhat that it at least it made more than everyone here gave it credit for which was none.. =D>

For someone so "fascinated" with the subject, you'd think you'd know what it's called.

It's technically the best movie and worst movie of 2005, when you think about it.

Not sure I follow you on this.. For me, there wasn't anything negative about it and hands down, was one of the BEST of 2005.. WHITE NOISE RULED!!

You won't have to do anything of the such... I think you will find this to be quite creepy in it's premise...

It's the only movie that was released in 2005 that you've seen, right? Because if it was, it's your favorite movie of the year, and technically, also the worst, because there's no other movie worse than it so far. :wink:

Well I don't think the rest of the moviegoers who don't overanalyze movies like the internet world does, will agree with you.. It made 25 Million this weekend for a movie so heavily underpredicted that I have to :laugh: at those that so underpredicted and slammed this movie, that now there forced to 2nd guess there reviews of it to see where they all went wrong.. ](*,)

It has that sort of feel to it, YES.. I'm sorry for you if you didn't like The Mothman Prophecies.. You either like subjects about the Unexplained like White Noise and Mothman have or not I suppose.. I look forward to your review however..

I liked the whole idea behind Mothman I just could not get into the movie. I like how white noise looks and I like the story...I guess we shall find out tomorrow huh? and please don't feel sorry for me...I just found mothman lacking. I really like Gothika though.

I have the 2 Disc Set of The Mothman Prophecies that has a disc in there devoted to the subject of the sightings of this thing in a Documentary that's also linked to UFO sightings in Point Plesant Virginia back in 1967.. BKB if you like stuff like that rent ghostwatchers its pretty creepy its a low grade movie m ade about this young woman who hires a ghostwatcher to help her find out why this ghost of a guy who use to stalk her is trying to kill her. Its pretty I was creepyed out and I did enjoy it.

BKB, there's an idea I need you to understand: People who hate White Noise (and there are many) don't hate it simply because they're too close minded to think about the paranormal. My former babysitter who I had dinner tonight hated it, and she's really into astrology and ghosts in the machine and all sorts of paranormal stuff.

Thanks you MD. I was REALLY REALLY looking forward to this movie. I was pumped from the first time I saw the trailer, and I think it is a very interesting and creepy subject. But I knew all was wrong, when I almost threw up in my mouth because the first 20 minutes of this film sucked so bad. I was really let down, and whoever produced/made this movie deserves to be drug out in the street, ass raped, shot, deficated on and spit on for ruining a perfectly good concept of a movie

The Ring is so heavily, HEAVILY Overrated that when I rented this film when it came out, I expected to be scared half out of my wits just based on all the internet hype this film generated and it didn't do a goddamn thing for me except force me to shake my head in wondering whether this is a generational thing or not.. What the New Generation finds scary today, The Over 30 Crowd thinks it's a joke.. Hell based on the absolute no reaction to a full house the Ring II Elicited when I saw WHITE NOISE, this doesn't bode very well.. WHITE NOISE hands down had me hooked from the getgo and was the perfect story to use and it's unfortunate that you just don't like any fucking movie I've listed lately lovemerox.. You sound like a very dificult person to please and read too much into everything in an effort to bitch about the movie and give you a reason to pan it.. No, I don't think someone needs to be dragged out into the street and ass raped for liking this movie because based on it's box office at 25 Million for the weekend, it proves the internet film elitist dropped the ball on this one and the rest of the general population embraced this.. The movie RULED and I would welcome a sequel to this in a second.. =D>
