Very good too. I'm getting a better sense of your taste, but man BJ, you're all over the place. Most people I know that like Catch Me and GONY, and the Professional, do not like Grease at all! I like Grease. Its grown on me, so I think this list is great.

I like a lot of movies  The only genre Im not crazy about is horror/thriller Im not realy into the consept of watching a film that scares me [-( I watch one from time to time when I am in the mood but thats usually around halloween  anyway im glad you like the list theres more to come and a top ten that BJ thinks is great :Grins:

I said overrated, not bad. I would give it a B, which is still descent, I just didn't fall head over heels for it because I've seen so many of that type movie. Its much better than say, L'Ultimo Baccio (The Last Kiss) but not as interesting as Divorce Italian Style, which just uses that premesis as a srpingboard rather than the end point.

For me I love LIT because I related to Charlotte so much when I saw the movei..from her relatioonship with hus husband to feelng lsot about her life...all of it.

I rewatched the movie two weeks agoa dn I no longe rand in such a lost palce inmy life and I found I still enjoyed the movie, but not as much. I think to fall in lvoe with LIT you had to really connnet with either Bob or Charlotte.

Good bold movies, i wont comment on Star Wars, but you know my feelings on it. Exorcist is crap.

Good movies. Oh, and The Exorcist is the most overrated horror movie ever made.

Well, I think most can relate to Bob for simple confusion and solitude, but then again, Simon and Garfunkel songs can also do the trick (mainly most of 'em, from I Am A Rock to Homeward Bound to The Only Living Boy in New York). Most human beings, unless they find "the one" at a young age and that person is always by their side, should be able to sympathize and connect with Bill Murray's character. The relationship gone awry as in Charlotte's case is a bit harder; although everyone reaches it at some point, to reach the level where you're simply ignored and put aside is something that requires a NUMBER of relationships (I think).

While it might lose it's power, can't you say the same for films like Garden State or Eternal Sunshine? Those have the ability to relate on a personal level, yet, most don't seem to like it less once it doesn't apply. Most say that, in ESOTSM, it relates with past relationships, even though the characters are experiencing the break up (and desire to be "erased") first-hand. So, why doesn't LiT hold the same power? The characters, like ESOTSM, are experiencing their issues first-hand, so what makes it impossible to not be able to reflect on being "lost" about love and relationships after having lost them? Frankly, if you're bringing up the ability to relate on a personal level (which isn't why I liked it), the only noticeable difference I see between LiT and ESOTSM is that LiT is much more subtle in the approach and the message at the end isn't fully obvious; in Eternal - the whole movie relates on the issue. If you related to LiT the first time, I think you should be able to think/reflect every time, just as most do with Eternal Sunshine.

I hope I said something, but I probably didn't. I'll read back on it later and ponder on what I was saying...;)

BTW, I think Dick Tracy is the best adaptation to film of a comic book ever. I feel like an idiot for forgetting to put it on my list. I probably should have written a list down first, so I wouldn't have missed it. Very very very good pick. I love Sooner or Later (I Always Get My Man). Its one of my top 100 songs on that list as we speak. I think the colors were incredible, and I remember hearing it was only shot in 7 colors, which is why it has that comic book type coloring to it. The characters were so fun (and yes, flat, just like in comic books) and Pacino went all out as Big Lips. The plot was good, the dialogue good, the cinematography and music good. Excellent pick Bryant.

Dick Tracy was the only movie to ever to put me to sleep in the movie theater. The Alamo almost did the same for me

Very Good Movie. May I suggest you watch Atanarjuat (The Fast Ruunner)? It came out in 2001. I would be interested to know what you thought, and I know I've suggested it before. Seriously to me its like Whale rider did everything right that The Fast Runner did wrong. Thats why the former ended up being one of the best movies of the year while the latter was utter crap.
