I'm now waiting for The Fountain to decide if that was really my final top 10 (though it probably won't be, 'cause I still need to see some other stuff and I don't really believe in definite top 10s, eheh).

well, The Fountain was as good as I thought it was going to be, fortunately  Meanwhile, a couple of interesting moves...

4. Babel
5. Volver
6. Marie Antoinette
7. Notes on a Scandal
8. Little Children
9. Half Nelson

Note: I decided to count The Descent as a 2005 film to make things easier, otherwise it would definitely be in here somewhere (another grower, I guess).

Great year.

I think if I had to make a final list it would look like:

1. Little Miss Sunshine
2. Clerks 2
3. Jackass: Number Two
4. Stranger Than Fiction
5. Running Scared
6. The Departed
7. Casino Royale
8. X-Men: The Last Stand
9. American Dreamz
10. Little Children/Click/Volver

Last year was the strangest year ever and it's not even a competition  My tastes are a bit off the radar sometimes, but last year was like the apex of all ever in that regard. I never really realized it when it was going on, but wtf. I tried looking over all the films that would be the norm on a 2006 list and I realized I was disappointed by most of them. I just had to stick with this one, my opinion on the year or its movies hasn't changed much.
