Possible spoiler if true
Quote: Not only does a member of The Incredibles family die at the end of the film, another family member turns to the darkside (forgive the Star Wars analogy). A third and presumably final film is clearly being laid out.
Fuck, I know Disney likes to get dark from time to time, but that would be disastrous.

That wouldn't be disastrous, just dark.
If I had to guess: Violet would be the one to die and Dash would be the one to turn to the darkside.

Who would want to see that happen? They'd be going down the same route Pirates did, just worse. Like Pirates, the first was light yet worked because it was very smart. Then, although I liked the films, Pirates became too convoluted for it's own good.
That plot scenario just wouldn't work.

Not many I guess. I would not like to see any of the family members die.

Who would want to see that happen? I would love to see that just because it would be so unexpected and unlike anything seen in a CGI-animation film. However, I doubt that ending is true since it would truly fuck the legs of this film over horribly.

That's why I don't think it's true either. Just imagine the kids walking out of the movie theater with their parents.

I think the first Incredibles is the best American animated film in recent memory -- this being Pixar, I'll give them benefit of the doubt. They can't mess this up if they can produce a quality movie about talking cars.

Hmmm... I would actually like to see a dark animated film from Pixar. It'd do crappy, but it would probably be pretty good, and a welcome change of pace.

I call foul.
Is the basis for running this story purely because of Brad Bird's fleeting comments about having a few ideas for the sequel?
