First look at Star Wars: The Clone Wars
In 3D. Looks pretty great. Slated for fall 2008 release.

Not sure if the link will get you there, but if not, go to StarWars.com, then click on Video, then Exclusives, and then The Clone Wars Sneak Peek

It looks kind of like The Sims take on Star Wars. If the coloring were the same, Yoda wouldn't look that much different from a Gremlin. I don't think it's a show I would ever watch consistently, but it doesn't look bad.

The animation looks like its from a CGI sequence from a SW game. Doesn't impress me at all. I watched Toy Story yesterday and the animation was better.

Well, it's not surprising that a movie-production looks better than a tv-production...
One has a high budget, the other one a rather low one (disregarding the fact that the series is supposed to look a bit campy), it would be absolutely shocking, if they would look the same.
In other news:
They are looking for authors to write the scripts for the "real" Star Wars series they are going to produce. Apparently they are in contact with the writers of Lost, Heroes and Battlestar Galactica.

Didn't something call Clone Wars air not too long ago? Few years, was like one minute episodes during commercial breaks on Cartoon Network. The name The Clone Wars just seems very familiar.

Looks great to me. I'll skip the toys, but I'd watch the show. I enjoyed the Clone Wars animated series, so the expanding of the time would allow alot more story, action and characters to be shown and developed.
