Where do I start?
By the way, best episode of any TV show I have seen in awhile, if not ever.

How're they gonna do the show for three more seasons, though? I could accept one more, say it takes three weeks or so for the people to get there to save them for whatever reason, but three more seasons?

So... I'm guessing it's Sawyer who died (in the future), though they unfortunately never showed it.
Kate looked incredibly hot. As in, too hot to be real. I guess they went overboard on the makeup since her island makeup makes her look hot anyway.
I'm not sure why Charlie felt he had to lock himself in. He could have got out of the room and locked it behind him, and then he and Desmond could have swam up. He deserves to die for that idiotic move.
Only seven more months...

Because if Charlie doesn't die they don't get rescued.

You think she's hot on the island? Season one, sure. But the last two, hell no. But yeah, she was hawt at the end. Course, she had make-up.

Well, considering that the 'rescuers' aren't who they say they are, I doubt the Losties are going to be rescued. In fact, I'd argue that the final 'twist' of the series is that they don't get off at all, they just decide to stay on the island.
I wonder how they're gonna do the flashbacks next season. Go back to the tradition, or start doing flash-forwards for everyone?

Well, Jack mentioned how she was going back to "him," which I thought implied she was with Sawyer. Maybe it was Juliet?

my only problem with the episode was this now that i think about it, when jack was hammered and still oxycodin he yelled "go upstairs and see how drunk my father is." he also used one of his fathers prescription notes.

Uh, yeah. I'd even say that I think she's hotter on the island than in the future. There's something about natural(ish) beauty.

I don't think he was speaking literally. And he probably forged his father's signature.
@Jon: Yeah, now that I think of it, it could be Juliet. Fits in with having no one come to the funeral.

I think she is going back to Sawyer. Also, if Jack is in that condition, something very bad must have happened, maybe a death. Now, I think the person in the coffin is Ben, because he said its not a friend or family. And lastly, is Jack's dad alive? Cause he said to the New Chief, go get Dr Shepherd and if im more drunk then him, then you can fire me. Wow!

Locke wouldn't leave the island. He'd refuse to be rescued.

Maybe he thinks his dad is alive for some reason? He stormed off when the lady was going to call his dad, so...?
Seriously, if the writers play around with flashbacks as much as they did in this season, I'm not entirely against the writers getting rid of them. I think this seriously might be the best season of Lost yet, even WITH the first 6.

Wow. The first flash back that was actually a flash forward. It didn't seem to be leading anywhere for a while, so I could tell there was something odd about this one in particular.
Dharma initiative people should be coming in...but the fact that we saw the future flash forward, does that mean that after the show ends, they'll be back home, or was this just a "maybe scenario..." hmmm
Also, one of my fav's, Rosseau, had the highlight of the episode:
Ben: No wait, stop...
(Rosseau: Punch)
Ben knocked out...
She didn't even blink!
It seems like the Dharma initiative will not help them, and keep them on the island (as there are 3 more seasons to fill), but now that Penny spoke with Charlie and knows they are alive, she will likely be what saves them in their sixth season I think...
Also, Walt is up to his tricks again. First he leads Shannon into the forest, then turns Locke against the islanders...could Walt/Jacob have a connection???
