 Heroes Spinoff
To stretch the normal 22-episode season of "Heroes," which faltered after its long hiatus this year, NBC will add "Heroes: Origins." The spinoff will introduce a new character each week, and viewers will select which one stays for the following season. The two series will have 30 new episodes combined.

First I've heard of that.

Why are television networks trying to ruin my life?

I don't really understand this. 30 episodes combined? So is it a separate show or not? I'm not fond of this level of interactivity with voting either. This isn't AI.

I actually kind of like it.
It's a seperate series that plays in the Heroes hiatus.

I still think it will end up being on NBC.com. Short five minute webisodes or something. They don't really elaborate on what it is. I just don't see the writers creating 8 episodes, introducing new characters on TV with only one being added to the main cast. NBC will end up saying "Now, you don't have to wait for new episodes. Every Monday, log on to NBC.com for a brand new "Heroes: Origins" webisode!" I just think it's entirely convenient that the details are limited at best. We would have heard about this a lot sooner if it was going to be televised.

Yeah they did. They said it was going to be 30 episodes combined and that they would be hour long sketches.

Where does it say they'll be hour-long? I only skimmed over the "Heroes" news on the website Archie provided, but I still don't see it.
And if that is true, I really don't like the idea. People need to be patient.

No worries, I'll take your word. I guess I'll have to wait and see how it turns out.

Quote: The "Heroes" phenomenon is about to get even bigger. NBC will offer 30 combined episodes of "Heroes" and a spin-off called "Origins," which will introduce a new character each week -- one of whom will be chosen by viewers through the "Heroes" website on NBC.com to become a cast regular on "Heroes" the following season. The 24 regular episodes of "Heroes" will be supplemented with six "Origins" episodes.
