Okay... if this is what's happening, then why did Shannon and all the others remain dead..?

If not, they were buried. They could all just come back to life six feet under then die again and again and again and again. Heh.

I think Hurley's last word kind of says it all

What?

I think the parachutist is just an idiot, because I don't see a logical explanation for te plane having been discovered.

I loved Juliet's "I hate you." I think that made it clear that she's not exactly some evil minion of Ben's, she seems like she's being forced to spy on the Losties against her will.

Maybe they recreated the plane? To throw off rescue efforts?

I think it was a conspiracy by Dharma. They made a fake plane to keep people from knowing where the island is. I do think this episode shows that the island helps heal, but I think why Boone and others are dead is there injuries where just too severe.

One-dimensional thinking!

No seriously, I think the Others have done it, probably to hide the island. It begs the question of how quickly they would have been able to fake everything.

I don't think the pilot is an idiot.

I gotta say, Jin going badass on the Russian was AWESOME. I had been waiting for him to go apeshit for a while.

Overall, decent episode. Nothing to major that stood out, though I did like the flashbacks here. Maybe it's the foreign location, but I've always liked the Sun/Jin flashbacks.

And the "no one survived" is soooo a set-up by the Others. The crash to the outside world, I mean.

After thinking about it, I pretty much agree with the above 2 posts... It would be really sick if the show went alternate universe hardcore on us, but the explanation probably is an Others or Dharma conspiracy set-up. Leaning towards Others because Dharma ... isn't really around anymore(?).

I still think the opening of the pilot has a lot of relevance. Why is Jack randomly alone in the middle of the jungle? I've looked at that question a lot, and it still stands to me. The plane crashed on the beach, it came from the oceanic side judging from the tailies drop into the water. Physics-wise, it makes no sense to have Jack thrown off a good couple hundred yards away from the crashed plane, in the middle of forestry, unharmed.

Wait, was Shannon in this episode? If so I must have completely missed that...

But it was an awesome episode. I kind of agree with Shack...maybe Jack is not so good after all? And this set up a lot of other questions, like is Juliet really working for the others, what will happen to Sun, is Kate pregnant, etc.?

This was a great episode.

Sun and Jin episodes are mostly filler and quite tiresome which lowered expectations. Result... expectations easily surpassed = great episode!!

We found out alot of things and Juliet, once again, completely nailed everything she was given. But, I have to say I don't remember being so impressed with UunJim Kim's performance. Her facial expressions actually seemed to carry alot of depth in this episode. And even though the flashbacks, yet again, had very little to do with the island or their current storylines it was actually quite engaging.

I really like how Sun is now starting to be somewhat of a focal/important character with the pregnancy since she's had like maybe less than half a page of dialogue since episode 2 of this season.

I'm looking forward to next week and finding out what this ultra-huge spoiler is which I'm still not looking at ;)

I seriously don't know how they did it but Lost went from the bottom of the shows I watch this season to the top.

What else was great about this episode? That what they showed in the previews happened in the first 5 minutes of the show and not the last 5 minutes ;)

That spoiler was misrepresented by Spoilerfix.

They changed it (they got the episode wrong)... the spoiler was that Naomi tells Hurley that they found the wreckage of the plane and there are no survivors.

Some not-really-even-spoiler information about next week (Spoilerfix):

04/16 - A newly focused Locke breaks away from "The Others" in an attempt to persuade Sawyer to help rid them of a great nemesis that has caused nothing but pain in both of their lives. Meanwhile, a new island inhabitant discloses some shocking information about Oceanic Flight 815. Guest starring are M.C. Gainey as Mr. Friendly/Tom, Kevin Tighe as Anthony Cooper, Mira Furlan as Danielle Rousseau, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Kimberly Joseph as Cindy and Marsha Thomason as Naomi. Source: ABC

04/16 - Another reputable source told us late last night that 3.19 will contain flashbacks, and they'll be Locke flashbacks. So I called my original source (the one who said no flashbacks for 3.19), and that source said my latter source was right. The original source got confused because all of Locke's flashbacks are very recent flashbacks. All apparently take place on Dharma Island (or thereabouts) subsequent to Ben reintroducing Locke to his daddy (the last time we all saw Locke). Source: Ain't It Cool News

I easily think this was the single best Sun/Jin episode. Jin has really got the short of the stick in his life and he's one of the bigger victims and sympathetic characters on the show, which makes it even better because he's honorable, loyal and most importantly, doesn't whine. He's a real man, and other than the spotty parts of his past, which he didn't want to do, he's a really good person.

I was overjoyed (as much as you can be for a TV show) when they revealed that the baby is Jin's. Jin wasn't going to deserve the storyline, had it ben Sun's lover. Jin deserves some good news.

Juliet's information wasn't tooooooooo revealing, but it did give insight into the secret compartments of the Dharma folks. It's getting hard to tell the Others and the Dharma folks apart. I knew that Mikhail was returning to the show, but I don't know in what capacity. Ben might be interested in the little trick he pulled... but why hadn't he gone back to the Others? If he did, why would The Others send someone that the Castaways thought dead? The Others wouldn't reveal that piece of info like that. Is Mikhail a renegade now? Was Mikhail coming to take Naomi or kill her?

Shack, in reference to your previous posts, Lost is essentially the battle between science and faith, and it seems like the big supernatural questions are the ones that linger, because they are harder for most of the characters to swallow. The fact that people are healed on the island is proven, that Desmond can see the future, that people can psychically project, the fact that men's sperm counts are 5 times normal, and people don't die of cancer are proven supernatural elements of the show. So it's a mixture of both, which is what I like.

I too think that Dharma/Others/Whomever produced plane wreckage, most likely in order to throw resucers off and hide the island. The only reason why Naomi stumbled upon them is because Desmond is not associated with 815. But a "sheild" hiding the island is not natural, a plane from Nigeria ending up in the Pacific Ocean (?) is not natural, so I cannot rule out the idea that we have a Bermuda Triangle or alternate universe type situation going on.

The thing that makes me skeptical of the Dharma conspiracy is that Naomi said "found and recovered". It means that Dharma would have had a plane ready to go in order to fake the debris. And that begs other questions like... did someone from Dharma know that that plane was going to crash on the island before it took off?

Regarding the island healing: I don't think the ones who died will necessarily come back. Mikhail said that the island has increased healing powers, but it doesn't have unlimited healing powers. Boone had pretty big injuries, Ethan, Shannon, Ana-Lucia + Libby all got shot, Eko was killed by the monster, and Nikki + Paulo were buried alive. I doubt any of them would be able to survive, no matter how much the island heals.

Regarding Sun's impending death: She said she had two months left, which means about a season and a half. So Sun won't be dead for a while. And if Kate just got pregnant, it won't be a problem for her for about three more seasons.

I don't think Jack is bad, I was more leaning towards some end game revelation of something happening to them when they first landed on the island.

Two minor notes from this season I don't think should be forgotten:

a) Alex's boyfriend getting Clockwork Oranged... There's still some mystery with the Others to be revealed. There's also the question of what they did to him. Was he brainwashed this entire time, and his plan to go back and find Alex was really him going to capture her?

b) Juliet being drugged on her way to the island, and the "bumpy ride". Obviously this isn't a regular to find island, something fishy goes on there.

Oh and the four toes... They haven't followed up on that at all, but I don't think the writers have forgotten it, they wouldn't introduce it in the S2 finale if they didn't have plans.

Yeah, but the Lost right now isn't exactly catering to new viewers. It's hit the point where it knows if you haven't been watching it, you have no chance... I'm sure a lot of it will be worked in.

Very good episode last night. Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, and Elizabeth Mitchell were once again at the top of their game. It was nice to see Sun finally get a lot of screen-time for once, since her character has been kind of lost in the shuffle this season.

Nice to see that Mikhail is still alive! Cool character. Loved Jin opening a can of whoops ass on him.

That ending- WTF?

I'm not sure what to make of Juliet's "I hate you." Maybe she does or maybe we will have a flashback later in which we learn that phrase is her and Ben's couple-talk for I love you.

Solid, watchable episode. Fun to see Jin kick butt and them not let the guy get away with the radio. About the woman saying that all on 815 died, all we know is that she has reason to think they did. Maybe someone elaborately lied to her and Penny. There's a bunch of possibilities.

Sun hasn't been nearly as neglected as Sayid. I wonder if Naveen is signed on for only part-time filming, because he's appeared in like 5 episodes this season. It's hard to believe that a major, popular, and award-nominated member of the cast could get such a short stick.

If I had one complaint about the show, I've said this before, is the lack of Sayid since S2 beginning. Spoilers indicate his character will be amping up a bit though.

If Shannon were alive he would have had more scenes. But I bet they would've broken up by this point.

Actually the only great Sayid stuff in Season 2 was his vendetta against Henry Gale.

here is one question I don't think anyone talked about, why did the Russian want the telephone so bad and what was he going to do with it?

Also, jin rocks, knew that juliet was being forced by Ben, but still not sure whether jack is hiding something?
