That is quite a fall for Idol!

Awesome retention for House though.

Preempted in LA for the fires. Gilmore Girls, on the other hand, wasn't preempted until 40 minutes in.

Yeah... the fire (which is still going on) is a major breaking news event.

The way they dance on VM's grave at PIfeedback is beyond disturbing. Why are they so freaking hateful?

They seem to forgot this got picked up because it had critical acclaim and it's one of UPN's modest performers. It's not like CW chose to save this show when it was doing 1.88 million.

And it's not like it killed Everwood. (That would be 7th Heaven's surprise pickup).

It had worse ratings last season. This show will not be renewed due to ratings. But there's a host of other reasons why it likely will.

when stargate sg-1, stargate atlantis, and panekiller Jane are all withing 30k of that show, there is not reason to renew it. none.

Ouch for NCIS. It usualluy gets around 3 million higher than that... was this also because of the fire? I don't know what time slot NCIS is played at.

Also... that George Lopez number really hurts. ABC needs to get rid of it ASAP. It rbought down their entire night. They would have placed second for the night but probably ended up third.

We'll see next week. And when you are a network exec, you can make all the decisions based soley on ratings.

these are normal levels for NCIS when it goes up against American Idol.

Definitely horrific for VM (I wish I could say LA makes a huge difference, but I have no freakin' clue if it does), but I think we're past the point where huge ratings are going to save it. It's other things at work.

House, on the other hand: incredible retention! It's easy for a mindless game show to retain ratings from a mindless reality show (well... it is... even though I watch it). It's much more difficult for a medical drama to retain ratings from a mindless reality show. I think that's quite a feat!

And, why are you guys looking at PIFeedback for what they say anymore? Man, I had to give that up a while ago. It's depressing. I'm not saying they're wrong about VM's ratings, but it's still depressing.

The really weird thing about PIFeedback is that the guy who started all the VM bashing is pisher, who, apparently, is a notorious troll amongst various parts of the internet, including BOM. But he was accepted with open arms over there and now he's found his home and will never leave.

You know, for a guy who bashes everything, he certainly does love his Grey's Anatomy.

Well, this season at least. ;)

No, what I meant is that he finds faults on probably every show in the whole world (to the point of bashing it to no end, even the people who watch them) but when Grey's Anatomy is suddenly brought up in a negative light, he quickly comes to its defense and he's right and everyone else is wrong, thus he's becoming one of the people he constantly mocks.

At least we agree about Twin Peaks. :hahaha:

Wait wait wait...

Pisher posted on BOM, and other forums?

I can't believe other communities had to put up with him. If anyone ever gives him our forum link, I will personally demand their bannings. LIFETIME bannings. Lifetime bannings for life!

It has to be someone who hates VM and loves Grey's.
