I see what you guys are saying, but, to me, they're just destroying the whole essence of what makes Veronica Mars. Doesn't the CW already have FBI pilots in the works? Why not just let Kristen Bell take the starring role in one of those pilots, and just end Veronica Mars the right way.

I don't know. I'm not gonna watch FBI Veronica next year because, to me, that just isn't Veronica Mars. I'm probably the one being to anal abotu it.

See, I think that would make much more sense. I mean, Veronica Mars has never been a very big ratings draw, so wouldn't CW be better off with a new KB show, and even throw Rob Thomas in as a writer/show runner? No matter what, the show will still be in its fourth season, and most people won't know that it's a completely new show, so why would they bother to start watching it?

The Futon Critic has reported that The CW has confirmed Veronica Mars' return date for May 1, 2007. The show will conclude its third season with a two-hour season finale on May 22, 2007.

Not according to Rob Fucking Thomas. :(

The two hour finale is just episodes 19 and 20 put together.

Well to tell you the truth most two-hour finales are two episodes aired back to back.

Kinda sorta, but not really. Most two-hour finales are two-part episodes. These are just two non-connected episodes.

One show down!

According to EOnline.com, The CW Network cancelled "7th Heaven" after 11 seasons, and just 1 season on the new network.

I guess I'll believe it when I see it. This wouldn't be the first time that 7th Heaven was cancelled.

There's no way 7th Heaven is coming back. I mean, it's had new episodes that have had lower ratings than VM and it costs soooooo much and doesn't make it up in DVD sales or anything. It was saved last season thanks to its 7 mil viewers for the finale. There's no way that happens this season.

As for VM, I heard that CW has been promoting the two hour finale as a series finale to the press. But WB apparently wants to get another season out it, either for the DVD sales or for the possible syndication money, since they put up money for Rob Thomas to shoot a presentation of the FBI stuff.

Me and my dad just finished watching the first season. Man, I forgot how good "Leave it to Beaver" was.

So, there was a few things I thought about while watching the episode. First, if they do the FBI thing, we have a better chance of more tense, fast-paced scenes like the stuff with Veronica and Aaron Echolls in the third part of the episode. But, and I consider this a major con, we won't have any emotional scenes with Veronica and Keith. Or Veronica and Logan. Or Veronica and Wallace. I definitely see how it will be a big problem without some of the key players from the show.

But, if it's a choice between Veronica Mars FBI or no Veronica, I'll take FBI. Just to see what they could do with it.

Paul Rudd is going to be guest starring in an upcoming episode. I think the next one, but I'm not positive.

E!Online Talks to Rob Thomas

Anyone give that a read yet? Kristin Veitch interviewed Rob Thomas about the future of the show. Is it just me or are there no mentions of the FBI thing? It looks mostly like he's hoping to go forth with Season 4 taking place immediately after Season 3.

And of course, the return is tonight. I remain optimistic, even though I know it'll probably be lucky to get 2.5 million viewers.

According to Travis over at pifeedback (and Travis knows all), the network is really excited about the last five (four) episodes, and if it comes back, it's coming back in its current form. (Which I guess means as stand alones.)

Just a warning, I believe that article is chock full of spoilers. My friend summed it up for me, but I didn't read it. But Rob is still optimistic. So, we'll see.

Have they promoted the show's return? I hope they did.

I'm now in sync with America. I've really enjoyed Season 3 to be honest. I just luv the style and the intelligence put into the show.

So, is the season finale going to air on May 22nd with two episodes, or just one episode on May 29th? Still didn't figure that out.

I did too. If we're going to rank seasons, it would probably be the lowest, but it still has been great this year. I don't think it lost any stride all season long, unlike shows with creative slumps here and there like Lost and 24.

I'd probably rank it second amongst my favorite shows on TV, behind Heroes, but ahead of The Colbert Report, 24, The Office and Lost.

That wasn't too bad. Heavy on the soap, and Keith playing good sheriff cleaning up dirty town is cliche, but I enjoyed myself. Dick's 1 minute subplot was hilarious.

Piz though, oy. I laughed at how quickly he embraced her.

Ok, good episode for the most part. Very amusing. The soap was too much though. Parker/Logan is sickeningly sweet. That is not Logan at all. And Piz just makes me cringe. But I love Mac and Logan banter!
