 Tonight's "Bones" episode was pulled
LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com)
"FOX has opted to pull Wednesday's installment of "Bones," which apparently deals with a murder on a college campus. In its place, a repeat of "Aliens in a Spaceship" will fill the hour. It's not clear when the pulled installment ("Player Under Pressure") will air."
That explains why tonight's episode was a rerun when I could have sworn they advertised a new episode last week.
Do you agree with their decision?

Not unexpected with the plotline of that episode, though still.

Bad luck on their part. Good decision though.

Yeah. If they did air it, they'd likely be criticized even though it was planned way in advance.

They will probably air the episode sometime next season. Right now is simply just not the right time to air the episode considering what just happened yesterday at Virginia Tech.

The problem is, the show has had more continuing plotlines as of late and it might not make sense if aired next season. They may be better off just airing it during the summer or in 2 weeks or something.

Not to to put a damper in the whole tragedy of VT but whatever happened to the old saying "the show must go on". They should follow through and show the new episode

Same thing happened on Buffy, a show David Boreanaz was on. The episode kinda dealed with a shooter on their high school campus, but Columbine happened a few days before so they pulled it and it didn't air until September before the new season began. So yeah, it'll probably air sometime this fall before the new season begins.

Thats sort of scary now you mentioned it. Pretty much any show with David Boreanaz will coiencide with current tragedies

Yeah, I remember that. It actually happened with two episodes - "Earshot" and "Graduation Day, Part 2" (the third season finale). Both were pushed back because they dealt with similar topics. The finale aired sometime in July and the "Earshot" episode aired in August right before the new season started.

Yeah they probably should save it for next season, even May would be rushing it.

Bad thing about that is then they'll look like they're capitalizing off of the tragedy by making the epsiode, even though it was already done...

True, but then again Law and Order/CSI and the procedural clones do these "OMGZZ!!! RIPPED FROM THE HEADLINES!!!!" episodes and advertise them heavily.

Aren't they about to do an Anna Nicole Smith inspired episode? Law and Order really has always been tacky.
