Optimus Prime With Lips Proves TRANSFORMERS Will Suck
http://jalopnik.com/cars/news/transform ... 252276.php
Enjoy this.. I was never a big TRANSFORMERS fan growing up but Optimus Prime with lips proves to me that TRANSFORMERS will be as bad as CATWOMAN was and I'm not saying this to start a flamewar, but come on already, LIPS??? Is there a reason for this Michael Bay or what??

Perhaps BKB would like the Transformer to be similar to Kit off Nightrider when they talk.

By the way, it appears as if when Prime is not talking that his face sheild goes back up. Looks like Bumblebee has a smilar face mask.
vs. Bumblebee from the trailer.

It looks like any regular mouth to me, there aren't really any "lips" - nothing like Angelina Jolie lips or anything.
That CGI is simply amazing though. Man. This movie really showcases the incredible CGI that actually can be done; other films should learn from this. Like andaroo, I'm sold. For once, baba is pimping the right movie.
Peace,
Mike.

I guess I just don't understand... I am as big of a Transformer fan as anybody who's 30+.
If the name "Transformers" wasn't on it and the name "Michael Bay" didn't appear in the trailer, this would be one of the most anticipated films of the summer.
I have not seen a single bit of film from this or a single line of dialog that turns me off this project yet. I'm sure there will be Bay-ish cheesy lines, but honestly, the trailer showcases nothing but a top of the line action movie with some of the best special effects ever put to screen.

Hmm Ciniplex anderoo is powerful of late.
Seriously thou i'm with you on the fact that there hasn't been any bad promotion yet. It's easily my most anticipated blockbuster for the summer by a wide margin and thats solely down to the brilliant way its been sold.
I didn't have transformers toys or comics when i was younger either, we were to poor to afford them

I actually agree, just add "didn't have insanely obnoxious fans" to things that would send this up the list of my most anticipated summer films.

I saw the preview before Disturbia tonight, and I actually thought it looked really good. I'm not really a Transformers expert, but I liked what I saw.

Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee, and 90% of the other characters in Transformers have lips.
Whether or not they have lips is irrelevant in a movie which is about GIANT FUCKING ROBOTS WHICH TURN INTO CARS AND PLANES AND TANKS AND GIANT SCORPIONS.

Looks allright, it looks like it will be fun, but nothing earth shattering.

to tell you guys the truth , the recent TV spot posted in the anticipation thrread sold me when I watched it earlyer today. ITs probably going to be the ultimate cheese fest but it should at least be entertaining.

Yeah, that's a pretty awesome tv spot.
Love the voice over narration. Fits perfectly.

Those look like lips on the original cartoon version of Megatron. soo what were you saying about the lips again even if they are on Optimus Prime?

Now all I need to hear is what Hugo Weaving sounds like as Megatron.

Well let's hope it's good -- the summer needs a really great children's movie...
