Just a thought.
How is Grey's not the most watched television show?
I shouldn't be using this kind of evidence, but: Grey's is a phenomenon on my campus. Everyone watches it, in big groups of 20. Every thursday. Do Nielsen ratings consider that, because I find it reaaally hard to believe that more people watch CSI.

CSI gets better ratings in repeats, which is why CSI beats it for the overall season. Grey's, OTOH, has beaten CSI pretty much every time this season when new episodes were on with a couple exceptions. So in first-run episodes, Grey's is King.

Tim Daly, Chris Lowell (Piz on Veronica Mars, bad news for that show) and Paul Adelstein (Kellerman on Prison Break, bad news for his character) have all joined the Addison two hour spin-off set-up episode to air in May. They're building quite the cast here.

To be fair, Chris Lowell is hardly a main character on Veronica Mars. Not yet, anyway. But, it's not like Kristen Bell or Jason Dohring are joining pilots.
Paul Adelstein, however, makes me sad. Although, I'd like to see him do well, I'll miss him on Prison Break. But, by the end of the season, his storyline will likely be finished anyway.

I seriously hope that show fails (so Addison can go back to Grey's).
The only way it would succeed is if the spin-off has a completely different tone from the original. If it's the same as Grey's Anatomy then I might as well watch Grey's Anatomy. If it's a procedural (CSI and Law & Order and its clones), I could understand if they don't stray away from the source.

I feel better about the Addison spin-off than I did before, only because I read Kate Walsh has a clause in her contract that allows her to return to Grey's if the spin-off tanks.

I'm having Thursday withdrawals. Ugly Betty and Grey's hasn't been new in weeks and The O.C.'s off the air now, so I have been so bored on Thursday nights. Next week needs to get here NOW!!! UB and GA!!! And October Road looks fun, I'll tune in.

Apparently Heigl has been a pain on the set to everyone else. She reportedly thinks she carried last season, and let that be known to her cast mates. She's also reportedly late for her scenes, and always talking on the phone with her agent about movie roles. It seems like Heigl is slowly becoming the Suzanne Summers of Grey's Anatomy...

Am I the only one that really is looking forward to the spin-off?
There really isn't another character that could be given one right now. Washington and Dempsey are too attached to the current storylines to really go anywhere, and it isn't like they are going to give one of the interns a spin-off show. What are they going to do? Take Pompeo and move her to a different hospital and then have "Grey's Anatomy" and "Grey's Real Anatomy"? So that pretty much removes everyone. Wilson can't go without seriously altering the show, and personally I think she is the best thing about Grey's currently. Uhh...that leaves Eric Dane and Walsh. Dane's character is unlikeable and I don't think many people would tune in, honestly. Personally, I always liked Walsh, she is one of my favorite characters, so I'll tune in to her pilot.

The best spin-offs are Angel and Boston Legal. I'm sorry but things worked well.
A different tone is necessary to become successful.
Buffy/Angel - character focus/action focus
The Practice/Boston Legal - serious drama/black comedy
It should be named Montgomery's Vaginal Ward. It's going to be tough for Shonda Rhimes.

As skeptical as I am about Grey's 2.0: Addison, they are sure going all out hiring actors to compliment Kate Walsh.
TV Guide says that Amy Brenneman and Merrin Dungey (Frannie from Alias) will join Taye Diggs, Tim Daly, Paul Adelstein, Chris Lowell, and Miss Walsh herself.

Don't forget the most awesome spin-off combo of Perfect Strangers and Family Matters.

This spin-off is sounding very appealing now.

I agree. They are getting pretty serious on the spin-off and with the mess ABC is in right now I have a feeling it will appear on ABC's fall schedule.

Heck, that's a better cast than Grey's itself came in with.

I sense that the move will help them do alot of cameos from famous people, as they will be concentrating on plastic surgery and psychiatry.

Izzie quickly went from my favorite character to my least favorite. She is being such an annoying bitch about Callie. I just want to slap her down onto her ass. Shut up already!

I agree. Callie isn't even bad. She's done nothing to Izzie.

Hmm. Overall, pretty decent episode. Aside from the fact that we barely got to see Addison's nose.
I think it was a weird transaction from the previous episode. I mean, it's like that whole 3 episode arc thing was another patient. They all went on with their lives and barely addressed it at all. I expect it to come up by the end of the season, otherwise, I dunno... it was a pointless ratings gimmick.
SPOILERS.............for this episode...................................................
Izzie and George.... what is up with this show and people sleeping with each other. I really thought they'd kiss by episode's end but come on... By the way George has now slept with Meredith, Izzie, Callie, and that nurse. Is he officially the hospital playboy or what? Who woulda thought!!
