 The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Is this based on the third book in the series or are they filming out of order as the books I guess don't really connect quite like Lord of the Rings.

Actually in Numbered form they went like this Caution Spoilers
The Magican's Nephew
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
The horse and his boy
Prince Casapin
Voyage of the Dawn Trader
The Silver Chair
and the Last Battle
However it looks to me the Storys they are pretty much going is the Adventures of Peter Lucy Edmond and Susan and plus some others when they only appeared in 5 books instead all 7
THe Lion With and the Wardrobe
Prince Casapin
Voyage of the Dawn Trader
The Silver Chair
and the Last Battle
Peter and Susan both appeared in Prince Casapin but that was it because they were growing to old to return to the land of Narnia.
Edmond and Lucy were in Voyage of the Dawn Trader they also interduced a New Character in their cousion Eustace. but that was Edmond and Lucy last book I think.
Eustace and some girl named Jill pretty much finished out the series.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader is my favorite of the Narnia books. It will make an excelent adventure flick.
