Dammit. I'm going to do horribly in the next two ratings games because I picked The Black Donnellys.

I pretty much skipped the Black Donnellys pretty much my bad but my problem is that the commercials make it look like its Beverly Hills 90210 meets the Sopranos. Maybe its just the NBC promos but if the cast at least looked like they were 21 and over, I probably would have watched it. I dont know if thats the reason why so many people turned off the tv after Heroes

The 2nd half-hour dropoff for Donnellys is alarming.

Then I realized the first half has been inflated by an extra 3 minutes of Heroes. SO I guess it's not that alarming lol.

I would've changed too if it wasn't for my friend who was psyched to watch it. Biggest waste of an hour in quite awhile.

I don't get it. Fox and CBS make the same show and yet ...

5. "Rules of Engagement" (CBS) 13.73
11. "'Til Death" (FOX) - 5.25

So the premiere for Donnelly's pretty much drew the same ratings that Studio 60 did. That pretty much spells the end for 60. The cheaper show with the same ratings will win out everytime.

You sure Studio 60 is cheaper. I mean Matthew Perry must be demanding alot for his paycheck though

I believe he meant Studio 60 costs more than Donnellys.

No, I meant Donnelly's is cheaper. The Studio 60 set alone must be worth the same as BD's budget.

The first three weeks of Studio 60 averaged over 10mil. This is significantly less than that and will most likely drop off in the next few weeks. It also depends on what demos are watching. NBC loves to rave about how well educated and wealthy Studio 60's audience is. If Black Donnellys is not as attractive an audience, that will also figure into their decision. Though I doubt Studio 60 will get a second season, I would be shocked if Black Donnellys lasts until May.

I read at the beginning of the season that Studio 60's budget was something like $2.7M per episode. It's gone either way.

So that means 60's budget for the entire season was anywhere between $59.4 - $70.2 million? Unless it was praised and viewed like Gery's Anatomy or Friends, this never had a chance.

Black Donnely's bombing isn't really a surprise. Could see it from a mile away, honestly.

Not really. Heroes has consistently beat out 24 which kept falling for a few week until stabilizing around the high 12m's recently.
