The problem I'm having with the recent episodes is mostly thanks due to NBC. They hype each show like it's the second coming when it just turns out to be a complete whimper, at least that's what it feels like after the hyping. Tonight's episode was okay I guess, but you could have easily missed this episode and not miss anything in the overall plot of the show. And next week - "Someone flies, someone dies." Exciting I guess?

I'm done watching the "next week on Heroes/Lost" bullshit. If they don't hype it up, they give away crucial parts of the episode I'd rather be surprised by.

Wow, I'm glad I don't watch previews for any show. When I see 'em start, I gladly tune them out of change the channel.
That said, I wasn't disappointed at all with the latest episode.

NBC needs to fire their promo teaming. I swear they have the worst ads for tv for any network from the annoying watercooler unfunny radio promos to the dramatization of an "all new emotional" ER or the Office

I think every episode of ER this season was emotional and powerful and SOMEONE DIES! Well duh, it's a hospital, people die every day!

I don't watch the "next week on Heroes" bits, because I always watch the episodes online rather than live.
That said, last night didn't have any huge developments, but it was solid nonetheless.

Yeah I didn't dislike Niki like a lot of people, but Jessica is more interesting. She's sort of a villain you like rooting for.

It was a good episode although not great. So who do you think is the one who will bite it? I am thinking it will be either Jessica or Niki but I am not sure which one.

I actually think she's one of the more safe people... they've spent enough time on this villain/schitzo uprising to take it out just like that.
I'm gonna say Claire's mom or DL for now.

Is there any chance it will be Mohinder? I swear, I hate him. He's so dull. The episodes without his character are the best

If his character wasn't the one trying to find all the "heroes", I would say yes. Not only that but he's also the narrator of the show.

I think Useless Matt should bite it, unless they do something better with his character.
As much as I like Greg Grunberg, his character just feels out of place on the show.

As was I.
Peter's character is just above anyone else on the show right now, the dark side starting to envelop him in this episode was just amazing.
Syler also kicks ass, despite Mohinder not being interesting in the past, I find myself very involved with that road trip. At this point it seems Peter and Syler are both going to be ultimate heroes who can do basically anything, and there should be some interesting battles between them in the future.
I'm not really as hyped up about Claire as everyone else on here seems to me, I find her to be middle of the road. Hayden was also a bit cringe-worthy tonight, though maybe that was the sappy and overdramatic lines talking.
I'm sure this won't be the end of Ando, at least not yet. I think eventually if they do get rid of him by the end of the season, in the season finale or something there'll be a Shawshank Redemption moment where Hiro and Ando reunite after a long time apart and hug. Or he'll just stay on the show forever.
I'm interested in Radioactive Man's friend, by the looks of it she's going to be set up to be a big character. Question is what she can do.
Unfortunately I don't think Invisible Man will make it past this season... once Peter is mentored, there'll be a sad moment where he gets offed.
Next episode should reveal lots.
Heroes rocks.

One of the best episodes so far imo and what a surprise, it didnt involve Niki. Even more proof that the show flows oh so much better without that storyline involved.

Excellent episode, the best one in quite a few weeks. I LOVED the scene with Peter flying and the ending was quite a shock. I definitely did not see that coming. Oh, and no Nikki! THANK GOD.
Next week looks very intense, what with all of those heroes in the Bennet family house. I am greatly anticipating HRG's backstory- should be interesting.

Yep, absolutely one of the three best episodes the show has. I've noticed it doesn't flow very evenly, having a lot of arcs occur in a few episode spans before starting anew. I've also noticed they seem to start up around the same episode, and end around the same time as well. And like many shows, the payoff is the best part. Still, this episode really got back on the feeling that the season has been one big build up with more and more pieces falling together. That said, I don't know how Sylar can assume that MOhinder won't figure out that each person keeps dying after they meet them. I expect that next episode, and almost expected Mohinder to die when the CoM panning shot in the car was taking place.

Any fellow Canadians see this week's episode? It aired last night on Global TV, to accomodate the premiere of The Black Donnellys tonight. I'll be curious to see what everyone thinks tonight.

It already ran?! That seems mighty dangerous to me, especially since Canada is piracy heaven.
