Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been cast...
Martin Henderson (The Ring, Torque, Flyboys, Smokin' Aces) and Jordana Brewster (The Fast and the Furious, Annapolis, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) will be playing the married assasins for Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the pilot of which will be directed by Doug Liman. I have yet to see Brewster in anything that would make me think she has the chops for the role, but Henderson has consistently impressed me in anything I've seen him in, no matter the actual film's quality.

Good idea on paper, but I don't see this getting past season one.

I'm trying to remember the last time a TV show based on a movie actually did well.
It's been a while.

I think Buffy was probably the last one, and that wasn't even much of a hit outside of the cult following.

Only shows based on fantasy settings do quite well on tv like StarGate and Highlander than ran for more than 7 seasons

Jordana Brewster is about as exciting as watching catsup flow from its bottle.

I think it was around 10 years ago or more. I remember seeing the show and I did a search on it and it fell through my head that Maria Bello was in it too before she got so many wrinkles nowadays.

Decent casting since I thought for a while they might go with complete unknowns in the roles. At least I've seen both in various films. That said, this is both actors basically admitting they aren't really going to become big stars via film so why try TV for the steady cash-flow and possible career resurgence it can provide.
