I wonder if he knew at the time how right he'd be.
Indeed! I definitely see Seasons 4-6 being a trilogy. Moreso than Seasons 1-3. I don't see the first three seasons as a trilogy at all, actually. Unless he's talking about the whole Nina Myers thing, which would make sense. Season 1's shocking ending was sorta what pushed Jack back into action in Season 2, but... I don't know. I don't see a ton of connections between the three seasons, especially not the same way that the last two seasons will be connected to this season. So much of the past season was built on stuff that happened in Season 4, specifically Jack pissing off the Chinese and faking his own death. Not to mention the President Logan debacle.
Any guesses as to who will be the first major character we already know that will bite the dust this season? I'll put my guess in spoilers, even though it's not a spoiler, just a guess.
[spoil]I say it's President Logan. I'm not sure when he'll return to the show, but I doubt it's going to end well. I would have said Audrey, if I thought there was any hint of Kim Raver being in "24" this season, at least during the first few episodes, where a death may or may not happen.[/spoil]

Well the first three could be a trilogy if they had brought Max back otherwise season 3 and 2 really don't fit together. I have had this theory for years that some of the bad guys are connected with some kind of organization (Nina, the Drazens, Max, Mandy, and now Graham). Not sure if that is true or not, I don't think we have ever really been told who Nina worked for. And I don't think Max was the boss. Of course they may never come back to that at this point.

I think he said it as a way of making sense of the restart of sorts that happened at the beginning of season 4 (When Jack and Chloe were the only returning faces for the first six hours). But seasons 4-6 are certainly a trilogy of sorts. Makes you wonder if they have anything planned for seasons 7-9.

I would assume that Season 7 will set up the movie, and the movie will set up Season 8.

It does make sense that 24 has been extended to Day 9.

the first 4 hours of season 6 are online, and they are really good. Just as good as the season 5 premiere.

I saw that. I'm not downloading them, though. So, please keep any spoilers in "spoiler tags". I thought about it, but I'd rather wait and see them next week. I just hope spoilers don't make the rounds on the 'net. I want to remain spoiler-free.

24: Day Four and Five Recap-a-thon
Day 4, Hour 1: Jack Bauer is done with CTU. No more. He's working for Secretary Heller. You cannot convince him to come back to CTU for anything. Nosiree, he is done with CTU...
... oh, he could never stay away!!! All it takes is a kidnapping for Jack to be back.
Day 4, Hour 2: Oh, how I missed hearing the words Behrooz, especially when Momma Terrorist says the name. Behroooozzz... Kim Raver is a whole lot more attractive in Season 5. I don't know what Jack saw in her before then. My eyes are drawn to that mishapen nose like stink on a monkey.

In season 6 of 24, Jack frantically searches all day for a Nintendo Wii.
Will he find one?
Who will he have to kill to get it?
Will his daughter Kim be kidnapped by desperate Nintendo fanboys looking for one of their own?

You're heartless bastards. Edgar's death was one of the saddest for me (mainly because of the interaction between Chloe and Edgar before Edgar kicked the bucket). Tony's death was completely shocking.

Edgar's death was one big bad act. Terribly acted by everyone involved. I'm not heartless, it was just funny.

Something to download, or streaming? And what's the quality? And what's the link?
EDIT: 'Best' deaths - Mason and Chappelle. Edgar's not even close.

Check any bittorent site to find it, they're everywhere.

Well, I didn't say Edgar's was the best death. I just said it was a sad one for me, just for that pained reaction from Chloe to the entire situation. Mason and Chappelle are the "best" deaths.
The DVD thing was a huge mistake. Did they really think the episodes wouldn't be leaked online beforehand?

Oh no, dear X. It was just a general comment when talking about deaths, wasn't 'centering' on your post. You provided perfectly reasonable explanation for having it as a 'fav' death. I'm sad that I've missed the same feeling to it, while having it for both Mason's and Chappelle's (Tori's too), even with fine Chloe reactions. Guess Edgar just didn't rubbed me that fine way. :-)
Chappelle's one is particulary stuck in memory as I've seen it just recently, few hours ago. Just brutal. And while we're in S3, how the hell Saunders knew Michelle is fine, and will go away of hotel? Well, still 3 hours left for them to explain that. Great season as well, but a bit...too over the top.

I disagree with you. I hated Tony's death it was so sudden and unexpected. I saw him dying in a gun battle, not that way. Palmer I saw coming and came to understand it. Tony's was sad and I hated it as he was my favorite character on the show, after Jack.
I do agree Mason's death was the best, mainly because it was so self-sacrifice and I felt very different for Mason after he did that.

Saw the first episode.
(no plot spoilers)
It was one of the weaker season openers, imo. And Peter MacNicol and Kal Penn feel very miscast since they use the same facial expressions in 24 as in their past comedic roles.
