Am I the only one who doesn't understand this 6-Pack Alliance?
I mean, I can sort of understand having one at the beginning of the race or something, but an alliance of 3 teams kind of doesn't work terribly well when there's only 6 teams.

God, Dustin and Kandice completely rock. I cannot believe they managed to come in first despite two teams who had a Fast Forward.
They are probably the first all-female team with a legitimate shot at winning this race ever.
Awwwwww, I'm gonna miss Dave & Mary. Sweet people.

So who's left now?
Dustin & Kandice
Tyler & James
Rob & Kimberly
Erwin & Godwin
Lyn & Karlyn
As much as Karlyn is a bitchy sourpuss, I'm very happy that two all-female teams made the last five teams, that's nice to see, especially since it doesn't happen too often on this show.

Think the win will come down to Dustin and Kandice or Erwin and Godwin, and I'd be fine with either. If it's another forgettable alpha-males team in Tyler and James I'll be seriously pissed, after such a return to form season.

I read that this next season of TAR is all-stars and that Colin and Christy are on it. At least that's the rumor.
Janelle, Mike and Will are being considered for the next season. Though Dr Will claimed in a recent internet chat that CBS doesn't want him (reverse psychology by Will maybe?) only Janelle and Mike.

I never understood the 6-Pack Alliance either. In previous seasons teams have formed temporary alliances early to share information or help each other on various legs of the race. But a permanent alliance to F3 never made sense because it limited each teams flexibility.I noticed members of the 6 pack saying things like "lets wait for David and Mary" or "lets find out from the Cho brothers what flight they're on" or "comeon Mary".I also dislike the idea of carrying weak teams to the finals. If a weak team makes final four (eg Meredith and Gretchen) let them get there on there own either by dumb luck or "skill".

From a strategic standpoint for the Chos it actually is a sly move, though I don't believe that's why they're doing it. By carrying the 6-pack alliance, they do both:
a) Eliminate the stronger teams, leaving the easier to beat weak ones as fodder as the race goes on, as Tyler and James said. They no longer have to compete with strong Peter and Sarah, because of the 6-pack.
b) Ensure themselves at least 3 legs ahead in the race, if the 6-pack is always together and the Chos are always leading it, the other two teams will be eliminated before them no matter what happens, even if they suck. They give themselves a 2 elimination cushion, immunity if you will.
But like I said, I think they're just doing it to be nice. Either way though it's worked for them, Peter and Sarah left early, and they guaranteed themselves final 4 a couple weeks ago.

Ugh, damn you two-parters! And Rob & Kim had such a great shot at being eliminated!
I guess the Chos were being sincere about their alliance with Alabama, making me hate the latter even more. Screw their mini-breakdown when they saw their kids, I wanted to slap them when they shoved that poor man out of the way into the cab.
I'd rank 'em:
1. Dustin & Kandice (They better win this, or I'll be pissed)
2. Tyler & James (I might be okay with them though)
3. Erwin & Godwin (They aren't the best racers, but they're soooo nice)
.
.
.
.
.
.
4 & 5. Rob & Kim and Lyn & Karlyn (If they're both eliminated next I'll be a very, very happy man.)

What a fantastic episode of TAR.
I don't mind Lyn and Karlyn actually, they're good underdogs in the race and I don't think they're bad people at all, they just realized the Amazing Race is an individual game and when it comes to the final 5 they have to be on their own.
The only team I really don't want to win at this point is Tyler and James, because please god not alpha-males again... They'd be the most forgettable and bland of all the winners as well. Seriously I think every year an alpha male has been in the competition, they've won, or something very close to it, and it just pisses me off.

To me, Rob has dethroned Peter in terms of creepiness. "I'm coming to get yaaaaaaa" while biking down the shaft makes me wanna punch his crotch.
Too bad Kentucky got eliminated before the mining roadblock.
LOL @ Alabama at their comment that D&K get by with their blondeness/looks. They seem to fail to realize that most Finnish people actually look like D&K.

Nah
Rob is kind of/sort of a tool, but I don't really find him that annoying. Peter was an absolute psychotic robot man (I think he was made of computer chips), and Rob is certainly nowhere near Jonathan (or even Colin) dickhead level.
Alabama=massive hypocrites, by the way. I love how they apparently believe cutting in line is a mortal sin when it happens to them, but when they do it to people who don't even have anything to do with the show, it's A-OK.

They even ignored the guy who was saying there was a queue.
And managed to steal away the taxi he was about to board. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Just caught up.
Rooting for Dustin & Kandice or Tyler & James (both likable teams, though I'd say I'm rooting for D&K).
Lyn & Karlyn? SUCK.
Erwin & Godwin, nice and all, yes, but a little meh. Definite improvement over the first couple episodes wherein I found them a bit irritating, though.
Rob & Kim, requisite bickering duo. Will be gone within the next couple episodes, I'd say.
Dave & Mary. I liked them a lot. Did anyone see that episode of The View where they gave them trips for their kids and a new house?

Aw. Cho Brothers. Nice people, but not cut out for the race.
So we've got a final four of Dustin & Kandice, Tyler & James, Rob & Kim, Lyn & Karlyn. Wow, two all-female teams in the final four, pretty darn impressive. Both the BQs and Bama have already tied the Bowling Moms for the farthest an all-female team has ever gotten in this race.
Side note: The Pointies are growing on me, I have to say. "Get them, they look hip!"

Like em or hate em you have to admire Lyn and Karyln for making the right decision of breaking off when they needed too, this is a race after all.
I like all 4 teams... though I still really don't want Tyler and James to win, just because there's been far too many winners in the past exactly the same as them. With the other 3, it's uncharted territory. Rob and Kim, the villians finally receive glory, and the other two, first female team.

I'm not sorry to see the Cho's eliminated their idea of helping other teams along to the finals always bothered me. With the Cho's elimination only one "six pack" team has a chance at F3.I guess I'll root for the beauty queens to win as they've been the most consistent team

Chos were grating on my nerves a bit this episode. Not all that sad to see 'em go.
I'd love to see Lyn & Karlyn go, though. On top of being this season's requisite annoying couple, they're also just... mean.
Still rooting for D&K.

Lyn and Karlyn had no problem cutting away the Chos for their own advantage, but just a few episodes ago, they were criticizing Dustin and Kandice for only looking out for themselves. For that alone, I do not want to see Lyn and Karlyn anywhere near the final three.
When's the finale? Should I expect a non-elim leg this week, or is that coming in the 2-hour (presumably) finale?
