These numbers make baby Jesus cry.
Jesus that's big for DwtS. It should easily top 30M tonight.

Magnus wrote: Holy shit at Dancing With the Stars. 26M+ viewers! Is that the highest number of any show this season?
Yep. Beats The Grey's Anatomy premiere, the only other program this season to top 25M.
And 27M is lowballing it. That's what the last finale got up against the Olympic Closing Ceremonies.

Time for me to spin this.
That was up against a whopping 28.6 mil viewers from 9-930. Show Me the Money was 15.72, more than VM has ever had to face during the last half hour. Along with that, while House was down from last week, it was still up from two weeks ago. What does this show? VM, without a single promo shown from Wednesday-Sunday, one shown during the lowest rated half hour of Monday, and two during GG, managed to hold its numbers. This means that when Idol comes back and either makes House huge or gets some new show kicked off with huge numbers, VM has proven that it can compete. (Ok, maybe compete is the wrong word, but still.) It will not drop to the numbers it dropped to last season, and staying up from last season is about all we can hope for. And maybe if CW actually decides to promote the shit out of this show, the next two weeks can actually get better ratings. (Though Tuesday is prempted next week in LA. )

Pretty disappointing for The Unit and the dreadful House rip-off 3 lbs. Seriously, the latter steals just about everything from the far superior House except for good writing, which it doesn't have.

Stanley Tucci is creepy in that kind of role.

Agree
He's nothing compared to Hugh Laurie.

I know! Even the music score sounded too much like House.
It was an okay show, but not nearly as interesting as House.... And it was rather predictable, too. The Hanson guy's "problem" was foreseeable from the first moments he was on-screen.

Ugh, I can't wait until Dancing With The Stars is gone. It doesn't deserve to be the top program of the season thus far.

Gilmore Girls you'd think would have gotten more viewers since it was sort of a special episode. And I thought Veronica would do better too but if it's true they weren't really advertising it then I'm not surprised.

Um... wow. those are enromous numbers for DWTS. Anyone know when the next installment is gonna air? I hope ABC doesn't play it out. They should just keep it as a Fall show like AI always premieres in January... Stars should always end by December.
Two episodes liek that for the week could maybe put ABC ahead of CBS this week.... which will be the first time any network aside from CBS will have a week at #1. Last week, ABC came the closest it's been to CBS the whole season thus far.

Apparently ABC said sometime in March.

Given that DWTS runs shorter than other competitions (this season was 10 weeks) I guess they have more than enough time to air two in one TV season but I just hope they don't overdo it. It will be the 4th installment in less than two years.
