I know. But notice how Gilmores is down? Last night was the most boring episode I've ever seen. I'd really like to see a half hour break down to see what the actual retention for VM out of the last half hour was. I'm betting Gilmores lost a large portion of their audience.

Ok, Berman just posted the half hour breakdown between GG and VM, and while my hypothesis about GG going down was wrong, the numbers he put in his column for VM were way off or something:

Gilmore Girls
8:00 p.m. Viewers: 4.27 million, A18-49: 1.9/ 5
8:30 p.m. Viewers: 4.44 million, A18-49: 2.0/ 5

Veronica Mars
9:00 p.m. Viewers: 2.94 million, A18-49: 1.3/ 3
9:30 p.m. Viewers: 2.76 million, A18-49: 1.2/ 3

I do not like that little dip in the second half-hour.

But the election coverage most certainly hurt most shows so that could be why Gilmore and Veronica were down.

There was no election coverage on network tv during the 8pm hour, so I don't know why Gilmore was down, unless everyone was watching CNN, but that dip at 930 was when ABC started their election coverage, which was up 3 mil viewers from Help Me Help You, so I would attribute it to that. Even though 2.85 and 1.3 in the demo isn't great, after Berman's little "typo" I'm very happy to take it.

Too bad David Morse's character is really hurting the quality of the show.
