ROTS VS BATMAN BEGINS:Which One Deserves More Hype??
Now I posted this super major spoiler of a thread concerning things that happen in "Revenge of the Sith", here:
http://worldofkj.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2689
the last and final Star Wars ever and all it received was a whimper and a thud and barely any response or reaction to it along with 67 views and that, well, blows me away in total puzzlement... On the otherhand, all I ever see now on most major movie websites is nothing but Hype Hype Hype over "BATMAN BEGINS" and probably moreso than "Revenge of the Sith".. I'm not sure I'm quite understanding this so let's take a closer look as to why that may be the case: Both franchises have 2 movies behind them, with "Revenge of the Sith" being the 3rd and final Star Wars film ever and AOTC and MENACE being the last 2.. It should also be noted that the last 2 movies in the SW Franchise received mixed reactions to both films.. BATMAN BEGINS on the otherhand, is coming off 2 movies in the franchise as well, with BATMAN and ROBIN being the last film in the franchise and BATMAN FOREVER before that.. It should also be noted that the last 2 BATMAN films also received mixed reactions to, but REALLY which film franchise is doing worse than the other when it comes to anticipation??? I'd say the BATMAN franchise has had a nail put in it's coffin whether this new one has Chris Nolan directing it or not along with a somewhat stellar cast and no name, 2nd rate villains that only comic lovers will know and the casual moviegoer will wonder who the fuck these villains are VS a 3rd and Final Star Wars movie that finally shows Darth Vader and the Rise of the Empire, merging into EPISODE IV.. Is Star Wars ROTS REALLY that Less anticipated than BATMAN BEGINS?? Really??? :?

Box Office Mojo, and now World of KJ, has never really represented the cross section of moviegoers. This poll won't tell you much.

I am more excited to see Star Wars since this will probably be the last one. Batman on the other hand has I believe two sequels coming out sometime in the next few years, so there is still plenty of time left in Batman, unlike Star Wars.

Star Wars, easily.
You all honestly are waiting for Batman Begins after Batman and Robin? Granted, Attack of the Clones was no masterpiece, but it was better than that piece of shit. Plus it has the ties to the original trilogy to consider, and the story value.
I personally thnk Batman Begins will be the better movie, but there's no way I'm more hyped for it over ROTS.

You can't even compare AOTC-->ROTC, with Batman and RObin --> Batman Begins. With SW we have the same writer, director, and actors...with Batman a whoel new treatment, buh bye crap director, buh bye terrible Batman.
If TPM and AOTC wer ebetter I would be more exicted baotu ROTS, which isn;t to say I am not excited about ROTS. I'll be there opening day.

Batman Begins because the trailer is awesome and it looks like they are going the perfect way this time for a Batman movie. Everyone I heard was like "ooh, wow, this is interesting". The new look is better and more realistic, in my opinion.
Star Wars is obviously exciting in a way because quite simply, it's STAR WARS. But the trailer is nothing new, it's like any other Star Wars, and again, the film is overwhelmed with CGI and I don't see any noteworthy acting, depth or story to the film.
PEACE, Mike

Batman Begins, my BKB shaped chum. Which isn't to say that I'm mega hyped for Batman Begins, just that I'm more hyped for it than ROTS. For starters, there's been a longer wait between franchise entries, there appears to be greater potential for a quality end product and, most importantly, Katie "The Man" Holmes is in it. 'Nuff said.

The only reason to look forward to ROTS is for Conan Obrian to send his mangy mutt Triumph to make fun of every SW geek that attends the movie 10 hrs before it opens. In fact, just by having one gimmack of only being the last SW and having Darth Vader unraveled isnt good enough reason for me to watch the movie. Most likely everything else about the movie would be crap like the two prequels. Oh well at least its good enough "For Me to Poop on"
Its still kind of funny how people are saying internet hype, most searchs on the net for Batman doesnt count against Starwars since both movie franchise skew heavily for both movies. Internet ratio probably higher for SWs

Well the results of this Poll certainly are close... I just think that BATMAN BEGINS is gonna come off being disappointing to casual moviegoers like The HULK did in terms of it being too moody and depressing and for the casual moviegoer, you've seen the origin of BATMAN once with Keaton and Nicholson, you've seen it all.. There's only so many ways you can tell a characters origin story, not to mention the fact that the casual moviegoer will wonder who the fuck these 2nd rate villains are except for hardcore comic nerds.. I love it when people talk about how the last 2 movies in the SW Prequels were "Blah" but if they were so "Blah", how the hell do these movies pull off the box office they do domestically if they suck so bad??? If they suck so bad, these movies wouldn't get the repeat viewing factor they do now would they???
