How much of an improvement is that for CBS over Smith?

Damn I think Friday Night Lights is the next show to be canned. I didnt expect it to do this badly. Maybe they should really schedule it on friday as someone suggested

Friday Night Lights is a disaster. It should be gone within the month, if not much sooner.

Smith was averaging 8.5 million viewers so a repeat of CSI on tuesday averaged almost 2 million more viewers must be bad news for Smith

33% increase in women 18-34 over last season. The household numbers held, and, according to Ausiello, the CW execs were happy with last week's numbers. And the final numbers can still go up. VM's tend to, while every other show on CW (including Gilmore) tends to drop, so that means there could very well be an improvement in retention in the final numbers. Also, the show VM is really competing with (well, being compared to, since I doubt CW will be axing either of these shows at the moment), One Tree Hill, is doing worse in terms of retention. Once the final numbers for all the demos come in, there will probably be more good to say. Of course, the best news is that CW obviously took note of the 23% increase in males 18-34 over Gilmores last week, since the fucking Aerie girls weren't commenting on everything.

Veronica Mars is doing fine, imo.

It's kind of sad to see such a quality program (that Friday Night Lights supposedly is) get destroyed, but those kinds of things tend to happen.

Dancing With the Stars is a beast.

True. Plus sports-themed dramas don't tend to do well, right?

A bit more good news on VM: (But anyone who wants to stay positive don't go to TWoP. They love to think the show will be axed any minute, so it's all doom and gloom over there.)

CW's spin wrote:
With "Gilmore Girls" as its lead-in, "Veronica Mars" scored impressive gains versus its year ago telecast on UPN (10/12/05) following "Top Model," up 15% in adults 18-34 (1.5/4), 33% in women 18-34 (2.4/7), 12% in women 18-49 (1.9/5). "Veronica Mars" improved over last week in women 18-34 (4%) and held 100% of its premiere audience in women 18-49.

I wish VM could have remained over 3 Million viewers though. Hopefully it will bounce back.

I saw the second episode of Friday Night Lights last night. I can't say I was a big fan. Some interesting parts here and there but mostly I found it very boring. I won't mind if the show gets cancelled.
