I hated his hair. His interactions with Veronica were beyond annoying, but he wasn't as horrible (bland) as some characters. *coughDuncancough* What I really hated, though, was that Chris Lowell and whoever plays Parker were billed before Tina Marjorino.

Wasn't Chris Lowell billed before Julie Gonzalo? I'm definitely happy that she's a regular, but I just hope this doesn't mean they have more episodes than Tina.

Loved the premiere. Can't wait for the next episode. I liked the new characters and loved how the transition to college was smooth unlike some other shows out there.

No, but it doesn't matter. Dohring came before Daggs, and Capra after everyone else. Not alpha order.
Definitely enjoyed the premiere. Not a Piz fan, though.

Quote: No, but it doesn't matter. Dohring came before Daggs, and Capra after everyone else. Not alpha order.
In my thinking, I was figuring that Bell-Daggs had to do with importance of character. Gonzalo-Muhney were alpha. And Capra and Colantoni are always the last two.
Personally, I don't see Piz as a character that could ever even slightly tempt Veronica. He almost seems like Andrew in Buffy. He may love her, but she doesn't even notice him. (Though maybe Xander is a better example, since he actually did serve some sort of purpose on the show.) (Ugh, am I actually using Buffy analogies? I hate that show.) So while I'm not terribly fond of the character, I will only have a problem with him if they have something happen between them. Logan can be jealous, I don't mind. Hell, they can even break up over his jealousy. But if Veronica actually has any sort of relationship that goes at all beyond platonic on her part, I will have a problem.

Seeing as he probably will be a love interest, I anticipate you having a problem. I don't agree, however, that his character doesn't seem like the type that could tempt Veronica. Piz is nice and caring, something Veronica wants but will never fully get 100% with Logan. With rumors already starting that Logan is going to become worse than Dick, Veronica is going to want someone like Piz. And we know it's something she's attracted to (See Duncan).

I don't mean personalitly-wise. I mean the way she seems to react to him. There was nothing there at all on her part, and to have it suddenly be there would seem extremely out of place. Also, [spoil]I'm really not too worried, about Piz or about Logan being worse than Dick. I'm not specifically spoiled, but I have a friend who is as spoiled as you can get, and she has been saying to me that she thinks all the hype about Piz as a love interest may just be that, which tells me that she knows something. (She also said that the stuff Assiello and Kristin V. have said about Logan being worse than Dick are outright lies.)[/spoil]

seeing as i've already caved and seen the episode [twice] my new anticipation revolves around how well will it do in the ratings?

Just a theory in spoilers
[spoil]Perhaps Piz turns out to be a stalker-ish kind of guy, which will turn up later in the season. Just a thought, not really based on anything. I don't trust anyone that's too nice.[/spoil]
Actual first episode spoilers here, so if you have not seen the first episode, don't peek
[spoil]If TV has taught me anything, it's that you should not believe someone is dead unless you see it happen. Kendall may not turn up again for a while, and she may very well be dead. But I won't believe it till I see a dead body. And if she did kick the bucket, then... No more Charisma Carpenter on a recurring basis.[/spoil]
As for ratings... I just don't know. I would love it to see it become a big hit, in the same category as Gilmore Girls or Smallville. It'd be a shame to have this be the final season.

I'm going to watch the episode again when it airs. The version I had was a rather small vid on an already small monitor. Either way, it was still a great season premiere. VM has yet to suffer any deep quality slump. Sure, there's been an episode or two that have been below average. But, for the most part, VM has been awesome since the first episode.

Well, of course she didn't react to him - she just met him. When I meet someone for the first time, I don't automatically like them. I begin to like them over time, as I get to know them. It's not this instant thing; it doesn't work that way. As for Ausiello and Kristin beign wrong -- Jason Dohring said himself that in episode six the problems get bad for Veronica and Logan. Go to Ask Ausiello and look for the link -- Ausiello interviewed him on the "green" carpet.
I also don't understand how your friend can claim that what Kristin and Ausiello say are outright lies unless she knows someone on the inside that's telling her otherwise.

The stuff about Logan being worse than Dick. I don't know what my friend knows, all I know is she said they took some spoilers way out of context. I don't doubt that things will be rocky for L/V, because this is tv. It's simply a question of whether that means Piz has to be the other guy. That is the only thing I will have a problem with.

I will be watching and hopefully getting a phone call from Michael Muhney, because he is by far the coolest (and, let's face it, most self-promoting) celeb out there. ( http://community.livejournal.com/rack_o ... 55755.html)

I don't think I can bear to wake up tomorrow and find that Veronica did badly in the ratings. And it will do badly.

jujubee, one bitter day you will learn that everything on tv smart and worth half a shit is doomed to die a premature death.
Veronica Mars is arguably the best show on network tv right now. It'll be lucky to see December.
3rd Season of VM = 3rd Season of AD
Hopefully, like AD, they'll at least get to film all 13.

The difference is that CW has nothing else. They desperately want to keep VM on the air. This is their one critically acclaimed show (since Gilmore Girls has been getting rather dismal reviews lately). I can't see it being cancelled this season.

If Veronica Mars pulls off "Runaway" numbers, I'll shoot myself.
