We are putting Open Season on 3 of our 4 largest screens, a delegation we last did with Over The Hedge. It's odd how some theaters are showing little faith in it, though, with just one screen and a handful of showtimes.

2 large screens for Guardian, and 2 mid-size screens for School. Neither is particularly noteworthy.

I'm interested to see Scott's theater assignments!
According to movietickets.com he has Open Season in 4 theaters it seems and SFS in 3 (interlocks) and Gaurdian in 2.
Really interesting.

I predict Facing the Giants will get in less than 100 people all weekend.

Their site pushed church groups to "sponsor" theatres at $7000 in tickets a pop to get more locations
so while it may do horrible at Scott's theatre it could pull some decent numbers really just because
of that depending on how successful they were.

I'm surprised The Wicker Man's not in a 95-seat theatre at Scott V.'s theatre.

Jackass is doing just 3-4 people less than SCHOOL FOR SCOUNDRELS per show (but it is on 3 screens)

Is that really good for School or a really, really bad drop for Jackass?
I'm thinking the latter.

 Hard to say.

I would lean towards the latter, but tonight *hopefully* will shore up JACKASS 2.

I wouldn't compare an opener with a holdover since it's hard to get an accurate picture that way. Comparing to the other two openers, School isn't doing very good (less than 1/3 of business). The Guardian seems to be strongest, but it also attracts a lot more seniors.

Open Season - 9/29/06 8:10pm showing 50% full (350-seat auditorium)
TRAILERS
Arthur and the Invisibles
Flushed Away
Happy Feet

No sellouts tonight but it looked like Jackass: Number Two and The Guardian were doing very well.
