Didnt seem so on monday although I really hate CBS geriatric monday lineup, it looks like CBS was ahead of NBC with the David Caruso show and 2.5 Men

Hmm, CBS is not off to a great start. Not exactly poor but most of their shows seem down a few million viewers. I remember NCIS & The Unit pulling 15 million viewers and then some last season.

And the cancellation clock is ticking for Standoff. Smith is also not long for this tv world.

Standoff will probably air its 13 episodes and be done with. I'm sad Smith didn't do so well. It was actually a good show.

I'm ahppy with these numbers.

CBS is definitely showing a little decline and their debuts, thus far, have not been impressive at all. I know Smith was something they were counting on with its big blockbuster-like budget and cast.

House sropped considerably again... this show fluctuates way too much. I thought last season it had established itself pretty well without Idol.

I think it might be a close race between the 3 networks this week for the top spot. Thursday night is gonna be REALLY interesting.

Surprised at the somewhat lackluster ratings for CBS' lineup. House's ratings are fine and its quality is better than ever right now.

With the majority of CBS's line up off from last season I wonder if Thursday will follow suit causing CSI to lose out to Grey's Anatomy.

Lose viewers probably, but I think CSI will still prevail over GA.

What I was getting to on House though is that it has dropped a lot since last year. Didn't they get like 20 million viewers for the finale? I know AI helped it, maybe that's it.

"House" is getting pounded into smithereens (an awesome pun if it aired opposite "Smith") by Dancing With The Stars. NCIS and Deal or No Deal are probably doing their own small damage too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these numbers are better for House than they were this time last year. AI gave it a huge boost, which it managed to keep for its premiere, but now it's leveling out to higher than it was the first half of last season, but lower than the second half.

Hmm, you're pretty much right, jujubee. In fact, it did better in the 18-49 demo. These are fast national comparisons from thefutoncritic.com.

Last night's numbers: "House" (households: 8.2/13; adults 18-49: 5.8)

This time last year: "House" (households: 8.4/13; adults 18-49: 4.9)

Still though, House got monster ratings after AI last year. I expected more to follow it to Season 3. They did in week 1, but since DWTS came back (probably taking away a major similar fanbase from House), it's being pounded.

Don't forget that House is currently not in its normal time, too. I think it'll do better once it goes back to 9pm/8pm Central.

This is its normal time. It only moves back to 9 when American Idol returns. This is its timeslot through at least early January.

I *thought* it was supposed to move back to 9 PM after playoffs, October 31st to be exact.

Anyway, House is doing fine. At the same point last year, it was around 13 million as well. It dipped to 12 million when Commander in Chief was still pretty hot. The premiere last year was 16 million, so the 19 million this year wwould help its average.

Hi guys.

It is not currently in its normal time. Its normal time has been, even when AI is not on, 9pm/8pm Central. It is currently on at 8pm/7pm Central.

And Christian is correct: House will be moving back to its regular time when it comes back after the stupid baseball break.

HAH! I WISH! Supposedly when Prison Break goes on hiatus, it moves to Monday at 8. But I guess for now, it will be Tuesday at 8. If ratings don't improve by then... HAHAHA

Why would they move a show that isn't doing well to begin with to 8, without any lead-in? Oh, right. Because this is Fox.

First episode was pretty decent but during the 2nd and 3rd episode the team of Ron Livingston and that Helen Hunt/Elisabeth Shue look alike got really annoying especially her delivery of "I got your money!"
