any idea how Nip/Tuck is doing? Is there any place to get cable ratings? All the shows I watch now are on cable.

Wow, House dropped a lot.

Great for DtwS. I wonder if it'll maintain those numbers.

Nip/Tuck season 4 premiere got 4.8 million viewers, a bit lower than the season 3 premiere. No news on the most recent episode as of yet.

Obviously, House dropped alot due to the huge competition from DtwS. I'm surprised it held on as well as it did.

Standoff dropped alot too. The rating it had is no different than Fox wednesday night shows so Im sure it will get canned soon since it should have fared better coming off of House

Fantastic for Dancing with the Stars and House.

Even Big Brother did OK despite going head-to-head with DWTS.

Jeez the worse and worse the celebrities get on that show the better the ratings.

Nice for House and DWtS. Is that good for "Men in Trees?"

Not really. In the last half hour of DWtS, the show apparently got a 16.0 rating. Men in Trees could only get an 8.8 rating, and it likely won't get those type of ratings on Friday. Expect a quick cancellation, once it debuts on Friday nights.

Is any new show going to succeed?! It seems that they are all faltering thus far.

Damn I never thought Dancing With the Stars would hit House that hard, considering how House was taking down other shows left and right last year. Still great for House but a drop of nearly 5 million viewers in one week, ouch!

Big Brother probably lost about a million viewers or so to DWTS as well...why CBS didn't schedule the finale for Thursday after Survivor's premiere (or before) is beyond me.

And yeah, none of the new shows are lighting the world afire quite yet. Personally I'm not sure I'm going to get myself invested in a new series this year...the one that intrigues me the most is Ugly Betty but it's against Survivor, so there goes that idea.

It's only the pre-season, still. Next week is the real start of the new season. FOX just wanted to get an early start on the new season, while ABC is starting a show or two this week. Next week, CBS is airing new episodes of every one of their shows.

Does anyone find it incredibly sad that 5 million more people watched "Dancing With the Stars" than "House"? :|

No.

I love House, but Dancing with the Stars is actually really entertaining.

And it's (relatively) clean fun that doesn't insult your intelligence, so...

If you say so...

I've never watched it, so I can't judge, but I always find it depressing when reality shows beat scripted shows, especially ones as great as House.

wow... good for ABC!

I'm a bit disappointd by Men in Trees. I thought it could do better. And Although it won't, if it keeps a weekly audience of 10 million or so on Fridays, it would be an improvement over last year.

Dancing with the Stars should dominate and probably will won Tuesday nights. Without direct competition from House (which airs at 9 regularly as opposed to DWTS @8), it should be able to grab at least 20 million viewers a week.

House should also be able to draw in close to 20 million viewers a week.

I'm curious to see whether the ABC comedies at 9pm will geta big help from DWTS or if they'll be cancelled by midseason.

A 1.5 million viewer loss isn't that much, considering the added new episodes of NCIS and Deal or No Deal, which are pretty much direct competition. Dancing with the stars actually lost more viewers than House did.

Well, a large drop is expected from week 1 to week 2, not week 2 to 3, especially when you already had a large drop. Still, I think House will recover when it moves back to 9 after baseball.

OK, let's see here.

Week #1: House has no competition.
Week #2: House has monstrous Dancing With the Stars to compete with.
Week #3: House now has monstrous DWTS, respectable Deal or No Deal and NCIS.

It's slide from week 2 to 3 *was* expected, I think.

NBC actually beat CBS again last night, it would be interesting if that continued.

Nothing to brag about if all they do is just put a bunch of Law & Order series in those time slots. Why dont they just call it the L & O channel since they dont have any major hits anymore other the L&O shows

NBC arguably has the strongest lineup of new shows of any network.

Let's see how those do before we doom them to failure yet again, especially since they've defeated dominant CBS two nights in a row.
